Just thinking about Teal Vandor which took place in May 1981, Uncle Vere didn't say a word about how the final episode was going to end.

There is no canonical evidence that Jenna is alive. The canonical evidence that she is dead comes from Blake And there is canonical evidence that Blake has been wrong about whether or not someone is dead. . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |

I think for me it's that it so nearly worked out. Five minutes from the end we know what Blake is doing, and we think that he'll soon explain, and they'll all go on to start another rebellion. And then everyone just says the wrong thing, and the whole thing flips on its head . . . |

Just thinking about Teal Vandor which took place in May 1981, Uncle Vere didn't say a word about how the final episode was going to end. Probably wasn't finalised until late summer. I get the impression that by the time CB wrote Blake both he and Vere KNEW this was it, this time. They'd had one late reprieve, and the guy who'd given that reprieve was no longer around to give it again. It wasn't going to happen again. There's a get-out clause if they needed it, but otherwise this was the end. And with Boucher being such a film buff, he did the Butch Cassidy ending. 'night all. See you on 3rd Jan....does anyone else find themselves in this circular thing where we know Blake had been convicted of being a resistor/rebel before 'The Way Back' - was this it? Did we just see him do it? Did the Feds revive him, re-educate him, send him back and then he goes and gets mixed up with Foster et al....? Have a great day Tyce, if you can stay awake for it. Well now...both nights I tried to join the rewatches and both nights a domestic crisis got in the way. Hope everyone has had a great Christmas and hope...crises willing...to be here in the new year with the rejuvenated Roj.
