By the way, the German word 'Gestalt' simply means a form, figure or shape with no hint at a group identity. My online dictionary gives its meaning in English as 'an organised whole that is more than the sum of its parts' which is how it seems to be being used here. Interesting that that isn't the meaning in German. |
