Yes. But I do find a difference between books I loved as a child, and children's books I have enjoyed as an adult - with even the best of them, there are moments that I see clearly that I have outgrown, and I envy the child readers who haven't. And if I came new to Blake's 7 now, I know that there would be places where I would say 'well, well, well' and pass over them rather quickly. The giant brain in Ultraworld, for example. But the Federation (and especially Servalan) the understated and developing relationships between the crew of Liberator/Scorpio, the witty dialogue, that amazing ending - those would still appeal, I think.

Going by the number of people showing up on social media who have only recently seen B7 for the first time, courtesy of Britbox or Forces TV,and love it, I think it's holding its own pretty well. I see 'em outing themselves on FB, IG and X. Quite amazing, really.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Well, I suppose it's time to take up my lonely vigil again and go and feed the hens. Forgot to mention the thousands of bees also in my care, but they're mostly getting ready to hibernate for the winter. The girls chuck the male bees out - they're no use to anyone and not worth wasting food supplies on over the next few months. They make new males next year, when they need them.
Hope you have a great week, everyone. See you next time.

What was AnneA saying about 80s' sexual politics?

Maybe soon we might seen some new Queens (not THAT kind) being brought into our garden. Fascinating to watch.

Enjoy the Pringles! And BTW, booked my ticket for next year.
