Marmite flavoured wine. Yuk! The latest drink craze, marketed just in time for Christmas. Cadbury's did a 'Dairy Milk with Vegemite' bar here a few years back. It was as awful as it sounds. It's hard to think it was anything other than a short-run novelty-value cash grab. |

They've both got that yeast-y tang. Apparently you're meant to wash out the glass jar with a little boiling water, and use the resultant concoction in a stew or to flavour spaghetti sauce or a roast. On the one hand I can imagine it imparting some flavour but on the other it sounds like the kind of desperate idea someone's had to come up when writing the Vegemite* equivalent of The Coca Cola Cookbook. *Marmite, Pawill. Other brands are available. |
