Rewatch Downunder Saturday 11th May B6 Trial
M1795537OCVirn
Summer start times - Downunder 7.30pm (AEST) UK 10.30am (BST)

B6 Trial
In which Travis stands trial for his many crimes. Last week Servalan promised to 'bury' him for endangering her life (again), and this is her first option - doing it by the book, as one might say. It's B7's version of a court scene. As you might expect, things don't go quite as smoothly as she planned.
Meanwhile Blake wonders why everything keeps going wrong for him and goes off on his own to have a little think about it. This doesn't go well either, and he manages to cause the end of yet another life before he teleports back aboard the Liberator.

TRIAL
The (hasty and somewhat tenuous) Musical

Introduction
Trooper Par gives the ground-eye view
One Last Drink is All I Can Do

One last stand, one final drink

*

Middle
In the Courtroom, political machinations play out secretly
Outlaw's Judgement

Servalan's whispers dark and cold
She wants Travis's story untold

*

Conclusion
Zil teaches Blake, meaning Blake learns Zil(ch)?
Oh! Hang on a minute! Are you telling me that the Host is a metaphor for the Federation?
Resist the Host

Oneness will be absorbed, they say
But Blake can't think and swim that way

I felt the judicial bench were corrupted by Servalan in more ways than none. She has ways of getting things done to suit her needs.

Yay! Thanks, Joe! Great concept, fun songs.

HI, Pilot!. How are things with you today? Here in the UK it's finally dry and the sun is shining. It's even warm - I can go outside without a coat! Whole new vibe to life after a long cold wet miserable autumn/winter that went from end of October till beginning of May with hardly a dry day. And an episode with Servalan to look forward to. Brilliant.

Of course. That's why she's in charge. The trick is not to let people see how she's doing it!

Someday I'm going to start on time and be five (or ten) minutes ahead of everyone...but where would be the fun in that?

Thania's Limp & Greasy Shampoo. Brilliant Joe Dredd! Hope you're well when not devising verse.

Raining here in the Australian National capital. Happily, we've had a dry spell so the leaves are looking fab, unlike the last few years when all we've had is lots of wet and soggy brown.

Everyone well? Pilot? How are you this week?

So Anonymous of Canberra has an excuse - hope she's enjoying herself at Eurovision - but where are the rest of you?

Good evening, Obsidian, good morning MC1, good day pilot!

Sorry, internet is lagging terribly all of a sudden. Perhaps the rotten rainy weather has got into some fibrous node or Telstra pit somewhere.

My dad always said 'Join the Navy, to see the world: join the Marines and see the next.' (He was conscripted into the Royal Marines in WW2).

This will certainly be a Trial to watch.

Telstra is the modern-day version of the PO which was always digging up my father's underground cables. Probably them.

We never get to hear from the prosecutor. Not that it matters. Travis is guilty until proven innocent.
"You're not sulking, I hope?"

This Travis isn't guilty. It's the other Travis' fault.

The onus is evidently on the defendant to prove innocence. No-one said anything about that old-fashioned notion of justice.

Nearly half a century and we're still finding bits we hadn't noticed before!

In S1, we were told Travis had massacred the civilian population of Auros. In S2, we learn he's done the same on Zircaster.

Travis has literally murdered his way from A to Z.

Hi AnneA. Booked my trip for the Friday on the expectation that you'd be working. We'll discuss later.

I like Thania and the arbiters' unfiorms, though the Federation logo on Samor looks too wide.

The Friday would probably be better than the Saturday for me, as the buses are likely to be more reliable.

I love the game Jenna and Avon are playing.

Gan's probably in the canteen wondering where all the salt and pepper has gone.
