Good to know that Avon experiences the sort of anxiety that makes him feel nauseous. Evidence of humanity.

I can picture myself as Avon here at the Crown casino winning big time. 😁😁.
Wearing a bracelet or some communication device to win in my favour. I'd win enough $$$$ buy a house & pay all your fares here & stay at my home as my guests.

I got my cat from an animal shelter - always a good idea!

Yes we had a rescue cat too. She was so feisty, sadly deceased now. The cat we have now came from a feral cat who had her kittens in our garden. We had six cats living with us at one time, our old cat Fred(die dogs), the Mummy feral cat and her four kittens.

Somehow I didn't notice that of Avon, unless I'm missing something.🤔🤔🤔

Roxy would look the part, but she wouldn't sit so still in Krantor's arms - she hates being picked up.

One never knows what may happen. Many times used to think those very thoughts on the previous B7 forum. I see now we have new members & growing by the week.

Avon wanted to leave the casino but Vila wanted another go at the roulette wheel. Avon said that the thought was making him feel sick.

Of course, now he's just spewed up his dessert at the thought of Vila playing Speed Chess.

Well it was fun, but it was also a bit much. Mummy feral cat also picked on our old Fred so had to get her rehomed and eventually three of the kittens too.

Why is Travis's arm not primed? Did Servalan not really want him dead? Was it incompetence on Jarriere's part? Or deliberate sabotage?

meegat39
The flaw in this episode is that once Vila had realised what was going on, there is no way he would have agreed to stay and play speed chess. His self preservation wouldn't have allowed it even for 5 million credits!

Well all it's been fun as always but I must be off. A hot drink then tidy up & soon bedtime. Been a hectic weekend here & Monday is a public holiday, ( Queens birthday weekend) and the start of snow skiing season. Hope all r well, stay safe.
See u all next Saturday .

At the end I often think I'd better go back and actually watch the thing rather than the posts. Great episode. mostly because of the costumes TBH - must have dug deep into the dressing-up box for that one. But we also get to see how far-reaching Servalan's schemes are.

If Krantor knew that Vila was getting the answers from his bracelet, why on earth did he let him keep it on when playing speed chess? It's his own fault Vila won.

Cheers Pilot53. Sleep well. Wish I lived somewhere where real skiing was possible.

He was, by then, filled up on booze fed to him by Krantor and that's how he got talked into it. Probably also feeling flushed with his previous successes.

But I agree. Both Avon and Vila are into self-preservation, so if Avon was feeling sick at the thought of Vila continuing to play, Vila ought to have been feeling it was time to cut and run. But it's well done anyway, especially their complicity.

That's an excellent episode. I wish we'd seen more on mini ORAC. Like the Blake clone - something they use once, then forget about. Very frustrating.

HAve you tried an indoor ski slope? Not the same, but it helps the addiction, I guess.

Thanks all. If I don't join you all again before then, see those of you who are going at Steventon. I managed to book an Air B n B for the Sunday evening so staying over that night and looking forward to socialising with a a drink or two!

An interesting episode. I'm never sure if I REALLY like it because the dress-ups (other than Blake's, Jenna's and Cally's) seem a bit much to me. Servalan's dress is OK too, but the excuse to dig around in the Beeb's dress-up bag seems a bit exaggerated. I guess I would have preferred things to be more hard-bitten.

Anyway, terrific sharing the viewing with everyone. So glad you could make it meegat. Not long now 'til Forever Avon...

Until next time. xxx
