Rewatch Australia: B9 Countdown Saturday 28 May 2022, 10.30am (UK) / 7.30pm (Australia) In which we meet another of Avon's former acquaintances, and learn about another. Oh, and there's a bomb to defuse as well. And lots of melting ice. Quiz question 1: How many of Avon's former acquaintances do we meet over the course of the series? Quiz question 2: How many former friends / relatives / lovers of other crew members do we meet or hear about? There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Hello MS Virn and Obsidian, here I am, late as usual, wrestling with feline disappointment as usual! Sorry Travisina can't be here. As not an answer to the question, it always surprises me that we don't meet more people who know Vila. He strikes me as the sort of person who would have quite a network of useful associates. I wonder if he is deliberately keeping them from the others? |

Given that they are "Space" one must assume some connection to Space Command, or did the left hand of the Federation armed forces not know what the right hand was doing? It always interests me how familiar Avon/Blake/whoever seem to be with all the different groups. I know the plot needs to be moved along, but I can tell you that most people are entirely unfamiliar with the layers of politics and different departments and institutions. It just amuses me how blasé the characters are "Oh yes; those are the crack troops of this arm of the BLAH BLAH BLAH." Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.
