UK Rewatch - B3 Weapon Until TT comes along with his usual brilliant announcement, just a reminder that this rewatch takes place Tuesday, 19 April, at 19:45 British Summer Time (if I am saying that correctly) If not, just think Same Blake Time, Same Blake Channel. We’re up to our necks in fake Blakes. Carnell knows they’ll all make mistakes. If you’re hit by IMIPAK you might have a heart attack, And Rasshel bakes a giant crab cake. . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |

Cheers Brad for starting the thread - not sure if I'm coming and going at the moment, but here's the preview: The episode: Barney Three - Weapon (Carry On Mister Smooth) The date: Tuesday, April 19th, 2022 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which Travis has a new costume and a new eyepatch – I’m sure something else is different as well. A new hairstyle, perhaps? Maybe we can figure it out during the re-watch. Also, Cally becomes Teacher’s Pet, while Servie is more devious than ever, and Avon’s worse nightmare comes true - there’s THREE Blakes in this episode. And there's high collars galore and even a Siberian hamster! Episode in a word: IMIPAK! Character to cheer: Mister Smooth, who apart from his extreme arrogance, comes across as a relatively decent chap. He certainly manages to charm Servie. Character to boo: Clonemaster Fen seems to have some sort of God complex. It’s not attractive. Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Recognisable Face: John Bennett (Coser) played Li H'sen Chang in the “Doctor Who: The Talons Of Weng-Chiang” a couple of years before this. That’s right, he played a Chinaman, complete with yellow make-up. He did a pretty good job too, but you’d never get away with doing that nowadays! Best line: “Auron may be different, Cally, but on Earth it is considered ill-mannered to kill your friends while committing suicide.” Blake's 7 will return in… Carry On Space Primitive. Vote Og.

Character to cheer: Mister Smooth, who apart from his extreme arrogance, comes across as a relatively decent chap. He certainly manages to charm Servie. I'm splitting hairs, but I'm not sure arrogance is the right word, more like supreme confidence, which is close to the same thing (as I said, splitting hairs), but self deprecation, which Carnell displays ('come to think of it, I haven't lost much either' and 'I was offensive, why shouldn't you be?'), is not a trait of the arrogant. They say acting is all about choices, and I have always admired the choice Scott Fredericks made in his portrayal of Carnell. There are so many ways he could have played the psychostrategist, but he went with: What's it like to know everything? Rather boring, actually. Brilliant. Edited by Brad on 19-04-2022 15:42 . . Apart from the lovely Mr Carnell (he can teach me how to play chess anytime!) there is also the first appearance of THAT red Lobster outfit. To be fair, though, it really is very nice and soft to touch...just in case I have never ever mentioned it  Oh yes..and the Giant Claw (which was on the Horror Channel over the weekend). Cold! Scott Fredericks definitely holds his own against Jacqueline Pearce, the great upstager. He doesn't try to match her badness, he counterbalances it. They are brilliant to watch.

I have never understood why Travis kills clone 1. He knows it is a clone. They are in clone city.
