It is not intelligent of Blake to leave Vila behind, I think. Better to have him where he could keep his eye on him. Trouble is certainly Vila's middle name. At least he manages to have a good time! There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

Seems to me CB is one of the few writers who understood how telepathy could work.

I have a friend who grows cacti and succulents – used to sell them. He did have some lovely Peyote cacti which can be used to make mescaline. That was clearly what CB had in mind with the Moon Discs.
