I'm feeling a lot better, thank you. Still got another week of not teaching, but have to make the house presentable for a friend who is coming to stay.

I'm glad to hear you get at least SOME break.

For Servalan, white is the perfect colour for anything.

Hadn't noticed before how Travis, in the background, walks straight past the obelisk. Perhaps he didn't recognise it for what it was. Unlike Blake, who is always ready to state the obvious.

Travis is single-minded to a fault.

So the System used tariel cells to build Zen?

And invariably does. Travis is looking ripe for it.

Not necessarily. The System seems to be unknown to the Federation, so probably doesn't count as the known worlds. On the other hand, ORAC seems to be able to take Zen over quite easily. Perhaps tariel cells are one of those things that every civilisation develops - or develops something similar, anyway?

But Orac must have used something of the sort to override Zen.

ORAC would have to be one of my all time favourite episodes. But I agree Ensal diagrams weren't the best but Servalan & Travis seem to have made it under the ocean

That's nice. We're having a cold spring - my magnolia tree has been inching towards flowering for weeks now.

That sounds painful. I tore my Achilles tendon sheath many years ago. It was painful and very difficult to walk for over 2 years. They couldn’t operate because apparently the sheath is too fragile and if they try to repair it, it’ll just rip again.

When I lived in Oxford I often saw a van with ORAC on its side - Oxford Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

Why did Avon not make a little remote for ORAC? It would have been useful.

If they'd had longer, they could have lifted both the drone and the anaesthesia system Ensor had invented. Might have come in useful.

It's a shame that ORAC's little friend(s) didn't make the trip also. But Ensor doesn't even think of it.

I planted one when I moved in here six years ago - a little stick about three feet high. It's now about eight feet, and a handsome tree. They grow quickly. One oddity is that for the last few years it has flowered twice, in spring and autumn - pinkish-white flowers in spring, darker pinkish-purple ones in autumn.
