Liberator, fastest ship in the galaxy, makes the trip in four days. Ortega at sublight. Five months. So, Liberator is only 38 times faster than a crippled ship. Doesn't make sense for a ship able to travel from Earth to the edge of the galaxy in a few days.... . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |

Just whack as many random elements together to boost sales and don't care if it's possible to make a decent story out of them. Fortunately, the B7 output doesn't seem to suffer from this malady.
