Servalan has a lot to answer for . . .

But Servalan doesn't sneak. So she can wear whatever heels she likes.

The fans on FBook seem to know not a lot. Almost as if it's an entirely different show. Mostly people thinking they're being original and actually 40 years out of date. Lots of haha, not very funny.

Golly, I must be the new generation then because I didn’t know that.

I think the set wobbled then, just when I was thinking how good it was. 'WOBBLE' is a WORD I've been waiting for MsVirn.

I got that impression at Steventon...a lot of the attendees were FB people. Noisy, silly and opinionated, but not really 'getting' B7.

I think I was thinking that she deliberately dresses like that so that others imitate her, and fail.

But the others don't have her money, her designer, or her charisma, so they're bound to fail!

Servalan's heels aren't Cuban as Soolin's are. One steps in Servie's shoes – or not, as the case may be.

In what way? I rather like seeing people fall into all the traps I fell into as they watch it for the first time - it shows it can still do it. But that isn't what you mean?

Mostly not very perceptive. Making all the mistakes of assuming that right now is the only place and time EVER, instead of recognising that the Past is Another Country and that they did things differently there. In other words, interpreting by their own (often shallow) worldview. There to have fun and make a noise about themselves, rather than about the show.

Whenever I see the aluminium trays in the gold room I am reminded of this:

'Dirty British coaster with a salt-caked smoke stack,
Butting through the Channel in the mad March days,
With a cargo of Tyne coal,
Road-rails, pig-lead,
Firewood, iron-ware, and cheap tin trays.'
