Rewatch Downunder Saturday 30th September D1 Rescue
M1795537OCVirn
Start time Downunder is 7.30pm, in the UK it's 10.30am.

D1 Rescue
Yes, it's a whole new era of B7. The final (and probably best) series begins here, with no less than eight episodes starring Servalan!
We have to get past the first couple before we see Her again, but you can be sure She is busy preparing future fun and games (geddit?) for your favourite rebels.

After his spectacular failure and the loss of the best ship in the galaxy, what will Avon do next? Will he ever recover? Will the others ever forgive him? More to the point, how are they going to leave Terminal, now that they've missed the last bus?
What's that? Someone is missing? Oh, no - have they forgotten to teleport Cally again?

Reality Check: if we're at D1 that means it's only thirteen weeks to Christmas, folks.

Our clocks go forward tonight. So the rewatch time in Australia next week will be 8:30 pm.

Thought I’d mention this first up before I forgot.

How are you all? I hope you’re all well.

Happy Saturday, viewers*. Anyone else remembered the rewatch?

*A phrase often used by Dan Allen, when commentating on the all-too human characters and mishaps of his local cricket club. Worth listening to, even if you aren't into cricket. The man has a 'mordant' sense of humour fit for an Egrorian. https://www.youtube.com/@SandersteadCCTV

Yay, there is life on Scorpio.

This is the Federation Star Cruiser: 'Scorpio' is not registered in our files. Please explain.

Totally different opening credits, I wonder why that is? LOL

Hello folks, made it at last. I am having serious grief with this total piece of junk computer my dearest got to replace my last one which wouldn't operate properly with newer softwear. And I mean grief. Still sobbing. So tired, frustrated, angry...

I kinda know how our heroes feel.

All well elsewhere?
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

I might be able to help if I could get my player working. Carry on, I know the general idea anyway. It's cold, and Tarrant is being useless - am I right?

Computers can be so frustrating. And they don’t listen when you swear at them. What sort of computer is it?

I’m good, thanks, I finally, finally, finally got around to doing spring cleaning (I’ve been trying to get to that for ages) but now I’m doing it, it’s just absolute exhausting. I’ve actually had 2 Nanna naps today. I never do that.

Hello everyone, sorry I'm late - I was delayed by the battle of Actium (I am readign a fictional autobiography of the Emperor Augustus). Sorry to hear that the technology is playing up.

Why didn’t Vila rescue Cally first?

Hi Anne Arthur, glad you made it. :-)

AnneArthur
Series 4 is probably my favourite as well - the second half, in particular, is excellent.

Tarrant was nearer the exit? I can't imagine that, if they were together, he wouldn't have taken Cally. Also, Tarrant is more or less conscious when he gets out of the base - it's at the last moment he collapses (hence Vila's remarks about a bad time to take a nap).

I’d say he’s a dead weight, except he still alive!

We've been waiting for the new Apples to be released. I wouldn't print my retail tags properly anymore so David rushed out and bought someone's cast-off and it's a total dud. I don't think I've been so upset and angry in years. Have had to struggle with it all through Paris preparations and even now. It's lost so much of my work I can't begin to tell you.

I'd like to be doing Spring cleaning. Worrying, isn't it?

Hello Anne, glad to hear you have the sense to like the Dereks. Have given up with my player and gone to dailymotion. Where are you up to?

Is Avon sure Cally's dead? What a daft question.

We're just meeting Dorian and Scorpio for the first time. I have to confess to liking Scorpio - not a wonder-ship, just a sturdy little workhorse.

Maybe, just maybe she got sick of being taken over by aliens and went to look for a better job.

Because if Cally was, Vila would probably have rescued her - he likes her better, and she's smaller and lighter.

Understandable. Her mental health would have been under strain by now. Actually, all of them would be suffering badly by this stage, especially Avon and Vila, as we see throughout the series.

The whole colour-scheme of series D - greys with coloured accents - is so very eighties.

Heartfelt sympthy about your computer struggles, Obsidian. No fun at all. Hope things improve soon.

Hi AnneA!

Actually, it's very depressing, which is what it's meant to be.
