Watched this last night because I was trying to track down a particular drinking glass. Blake is not just in pain, he is one.

2nd thoughts I'm glad I can’t stick around long. We do have an argument about Blake. It’s not his fault he’s been brainwashed by a signal.

Avon is all scorn now, but one series later, he will fall victim to exactly the same thing, without even the excuse of brainwashing. And, arguably, the same thing one series later still. So no, not Blake's fault.

Only if you believe Blake. They just work well together.

But in other episodes he manages to resist brainwashing because of his past experience... he can't have it both ways.

Are you making snide comments about how slack the Aussies are?? If so, that would be a fair comment. LOL

Not so much slack, as differently orientated about 'rules'.

Um… tact. Cool. LOL

By that time he's been through a few hells, though, and is a tad desperate. It's a bit like the X-Factor: "I want to believe".

But, by the same token, that is true for Blake also. The Federation play very nicely on both men's guilt and neediness.

But we don't see Blake through all that time and he's already at that point, running his Freedom ideas over everyone else's objections, even Jenna's. "The Epoch of true freedom". Believe that, you'd believe anything.

It's possible. Britain was generally a bit paranoid back then.

Not quite sure what I just cropped out then but, yes, we highly politicised university students were well aware of UK politics at the time. Made the viewing so much more enjoyable.

Very, but as we know, that's not surprising. That photo of Ian Scoones I think it is, working on Thunderbird 2 is so brilliant and he worked on B7 of course, doing the weapons, spacecraft etc.
