The men of Seflon wear skins and do not brush their hair, yet they still manage to shave. Either that, or it's a side-effect of the radiation.

Sharp stone is all that's needed for shaving. And people did, from many, many millennia ago. They just didn't use the rocks we see them banging together later on.

Interesting. I wonder why they wanted to? It seems an odd priority.

It does. And it wasn't designed by a woman.

Actually, combing hair is very early too. I guess facial hair felt ghastly and the women complained about the rank remains of previous meals stored in the facial fuzz when they went for a snog.

Liberator is looking very clean and shiny today.

It takes them so long to notice that Jenna is missing. After what happened with Cally on Centero, you'd think that counting an away party in again would be standard procedure. Very sloppy, Blake.

And why is he blaming Avon? Avon wasn't even in Jenna's party.

Not being a man, I can't comment. Although beards seem to be 'in' again - all my students this year have them.

They do have to be cared for, though, because they really DO collect food particles: not very hygienic.

I think because he wants to differentiate himself from the co-ordinated look of the others.

If Servalan doesn't want anyone to know about her plans, why is she letting them film her talking about them?

MEEGAT: I will describe the way to the scavengers camp so that you may rescue your follower.
AVON: my follower? I never really thought of her in those terms.

I bet Jenna never really thought of herself in those terms, either!! LOL

As luck would have it we’ve already killed off a gazillion of them.

But there are loads more. I'm particularly fond of the ginger bunny that feeds on the patch of (now very dry) grass where Vernon Circle swoops down to join London Circuit and become Northbourne Avenue.

Oh yes still a lot about, more than enough for making a few furry outfits.

I kept hoping those outside the Chancelry Building at ANU would end up undermining it. The small matter of wanting to wipe out the Vice Chancellor.

Who is Meegat? Are the keepers kept in some sort of stasis, or does each one adopt a successor from among the children of the people outside?

It's why I don't understand all the things out there that say Avon has a problem with women. Huh? Just 'cos he punched one of them. I would have too. They're just people. Why does there have to be a distinction?

Better? He becomes a god and all you can say is 'it's better'? What does the poor man have to do to impress you??

Never been an Avon (or PD groupie). But I did meet him a few times. Nice chap.

Probably impress other people a bit less! I'm too much of a contrarian (not unlike Avon, I think).

This episode seems to have left us with more questions than answers. But it is only half of the Orac story. Maybe we'll find what we're looking for on Aristo next time.

When she talks about 'her people' she says there aren't many left, but they are not the scavengers. Where they are tucked away, we never see. Presumably somewhere else underground. So they would be selected from her own group.

Underground to shield them from the radiation, I guess. That same radiation that none of our heroes seem to notice.

I assumed they were the survivors who remained indoors. Her ancestors knew remaining on that planet would mean their race would die off therefore they created the rocket. However there must’ve been some infighting to have killed off Kashell. However, after they had killed him off those that remained indoors waited (many generations) for assistance ‘from the star’.
