Traditionally, in Doctor Who fandom males out-number females, while in B7 fandom it was the other way round (Avon was a HUGE attraction for the girls!) - but it may have changed over the years. There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes

But with each re-boot of the website (always necessary for technical / security reasons), there are fewer members joining. Also because social media has moved on in the meantime. Horizon and similar, smaller sites used to be the only way fans could chat online. Now there are so many other options, it's all got a bit diluted. There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes
