 45th Anniversary rewatch - A9 Project Avalon

The episode: Albert Nine – Project Avalon (Carry On Up The Hole) The date: Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which Travis comes up with a convoluted plan of which the Hooded Claw would be proud; a certain interrogation table appears along with scantily-clad rebel leader (steady!); and the Hugbot makes his final appearance in B7 before moving to Hollywood to seek his fame and fortune. Episode in a word: Death-ball! Character to cheer: Hugbot. Of course! Character to boo: Not a character as much, but whoever decided to have a MALE stuntman replace Glynis Barber to jump off the rock. It’s obviously not her bum or not even a woman’s bum. Tsk! Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Her ill-fated twin sister - who was turned into a Mutoid - doesn't look too bad either. Recognisable Face: David Bailie (Chevner) played a robot-loving baddie in the Doctor Who serial “The Robots Of Death”, which was written by Chris Boucher and also featured Brian Croucher. Best exchange: AVON: “We've come at the worst time, of course. The northern hemisphere is just entering its winter cycle. They call it the Long Cold. Something of an understatement, it lasts the equivalent of eight-and-a-half Earth years.” BLAKE: “Does it support any intelligent life?” AVON: “Does the Liberator?” Blake's 7 will return in... Carry On Space Doctor Vote Og.

I don't remember Blake being strapped down like that in those flashbacks we see in TWB. Funny how the body-length cover they used on him has gone missing at the exact same time all Avalon's clothes have fallen off. |

Brad, why are you posting a still from Project Avalon without a caption??? It's weird isn't it - just posting the still and no caption. Maybe Brad has the same problem with his screen freezing on this image. I can't explain why it always happens when I'm watching this episode, just after I press the pause button. It's bizarre. I don't remember Blake being strapped down like that in those flashbacks we see in TWB. Funny how the body-length cover they used on him has gone missing at the exact same time all Avalon's clothes have fallen off. Blake seems to be recalling a bad trip to the dentist. They keep on showing his space fillings. Vote Og.

I can recall that the time I went with the mob, we all informed the poor young lady guiding us around that Dr Who wasn't the only show that was recorded there!
