You know one assumes Sarah was pretty ordinary before she got involved with all of this, therefore, while she might go ahead with this plan to become rich, I’m not sure the smiling when she hears people being murdered quiet would fit the character she would be.

I do hope you're not saying that, as a woman, she wasn't cut out to be a murderer? That would spoil the whole point of the episode. (That's why they had to try it again with Piri).

Not at all. It’s just that the implication is that on the planet Destiny everyone is a farmer. Therefore, would be a pretty average person. And I feel the suggestion is that Sarah is only agreeing to steal the neutrotope because the temptation was just too great. But murder is a totally different level of criminality, so while I believe she go along with it to get rich I can’t imagine her smiling when it happens.

Blake being surprisingly efficient and ruthless there, booby-trapping the entry hatch.

Yes, but you’ll have to stand on your head again for the next Aussie rewatch next week.

Nah, you have to wait till everyone says 'goodbye'. And be careful when you do stand up: it makes me dizzy every week.

But they are plainly all scientists, not farmers. The odd agricultural scientist would be essential.

By the way, next Saturday night, I will be in Adelaide watching the ABBA museum choir perform.

Bit of a shame because I do like Duel.

Looks as if that might be difficult from what I can see of it.

Glad you were able to join in. It's been a while.

No, not QED, but they aren't necessarily all 'ordinary' farmers either. An ordinary farmer might not realise the significance of the neutrotope.

'Agricultural scientists' good grief. I think the work you're looking for is 'agronomist'. And yes, they are odd.

Anyway, hope you have a great time not rewatching DUEL, Tyce. And I hope you can have a new furry friend soon, Obsidian. (meaning the cat(s), not Og. He's already a friend). Glad the new PC is working out, Anne. Lovely to be with you this morning, everyone. Take care till next time.

I don't think so. All that salt of the earth stuff. Same as everyone else. When I was at school, back in the Dark Ages, parents of several students walked out on their farms and their animals when there was a drought because it was cheaper to walk away, or so they said. Eye-opening that was. Greed? What greed? I couldn't leave an animal to just die whatever it cost me. Better a bullet.

No, it's actually the US-style neoliberal economy that has a lot to answer for.

And on that sobering note, I'm off to have some food and a nice glass of red.

Have a good week MsVirn (BTW, haven't noticed any recent email or website probs, but did a few weeks ago. They sorted themselves).

By ordinary, I didn’t mean boring, uneducated or or even lacking in diversity, I just meant not serial killers or mass murderers.
