I spent 6 hours in the hospital today. I have excruciating pain in my knee. I just moved my knee just now and the pain was so horrific I’m surprised Obsidian didn’t hear me from all the way down south, and ask what the heck was that?

He wears it in the next episode as well. I rather like them.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Director: OK, 'Decimas' now you wreck the place... but carefully, just in case we need to film it all again.'

Why do they leave the door open? In such a hurry to get the power cells installed than they don't think? Or does Blake sneakily prop it open?

Now she tells us! What have you done to yourself, Tyce? You poor thing!

Absolutely nothing which is partly why I went to the hospital because I wondered what the heck was going on. Extreme pain and massive swelling. Turns out all it is, is bursitis plus a Bakers cyst. together, they’re causing a lot of inflammation and a lot of fluid.

Yeah that’s my question. Have some brains and close the door. Also, why did they have to irradiate while Blake was still there. If third of been smart, they have said to Blake. “yeah sure we won’t hurt the Desima’s” and then when he left then irradiate.

That sounds painful! Do they think they will be able to treat it?

Oh yes. I know about this. David has both, but he also has degeneration of part of his knee joint. He's allowed to, he's quite a bit older. Any treatment other than the old ice pack, raise knee, stay off feet etc. thing? You poor thing.

Just ice, keep it elevated, pressure bandage and anti-inflammatory tablets.

I think it must have been Blake. But yes, doing it while he is there is just so stupid. Perhaps the consequence of all that group thinking? They have no problem with destroying the decimas, so they think that no-one else can have either.

This is where we're left wondering if they're careless or is Blake insurrectionist. Hmmm.

Great opportunity to watch all your ABBA tapes, then!

As I said, I rather like that episode. But next week we get Servalan and Travis, and the whole thing really gets going.

Those Baker's cysts don't just go away though. Bursitis is excruciating enough on its own. Those can be zapped with hydrocortisone. Hope it feels better soon Tyce. Long walks might be difficult. What a pain – literally – for you.

Worth the wait. One of the better-written episodes, too.

Yeah I’ve been walking daily to keep fit so this has put a stop to that which is insanely frustrating - and that’s before I try and deal with the pain. It’d better sort itself out soon cause I have a life and this is stopping me live it!!! Not happy Jan!

Hi all,

Just been catching up with the thread - such interesting comments, as always!

Tyce - hope your leg feels better. My sister-in-law is going to see ABBA Voyage on Saturday, and I'm jealous - wanna go again!

Obsidian: "This boy don't need a judge, he needs an analyst's care". One of my favourite lines from a favourite (since I was about 3) musical."

Mine too! It was on BBC iPlayer recently, so I rewatched it for the first time in many years (though of course I know the songs by heart).

I first saw it in the cinema with a bunch of school friends, and afterwards we were speculating what would happen if a boy came down our street singing our name. Fay reckoned that her mother would be straight out on the balconey, going "Shush, go away! People are trying to sleep!"

Year later, I saw it on stage with Steven Pacey as Tony - lovely voice, well suited for the part.
There is no point being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes
