Anyone need a tray for their lunch. LOL

Only in First Class.

Same trays as were used in 'Assassin'. Genius idea, along with Vila's coffee-stirrers badge in The Way Back (when they still had a budget!)

Coffee- stirrers badge? I’ll have to look out for that.

In our village pantomimes, it's a running joke that we try to spot what Karen (costumes) has re-used each year, and what it started out as originally - someone's curtains that they donated to us etc etc.

Curtains are perfect. The fabric is often far more exciting than dress fabric.

Scarlet O'Hara and Maria (Sound of Music) used curtain fabric for their outfits - as part of the story!

Hopefully he’s not as I’ll as the pilot who gets the yellow custard virus in Children of (M)auron.

I do laugh when Avon (Paul) fires his gun. Clint? Burt? Gregory? John?

Mary Ridge (the director - not of this, but later eps) used to call him 'Blint'!

I know, but I don't think he's doing either Clint or Burt here, though. Someone else, just not sure who.

That is such a good episode. I'm not sure if I'll be around next week - my brother and his partner are coming to visit, and they are very much morning people. I'll try to suggest that they turn up at 11, but I doubt I'll have much luck in getting them to stick to it.

Could you send them out early to avoid the crowds at the Christmas Market?

And a really creepy manic laugh from Avon to end on.

He sees the joke (what Servalan's done to him) - it's on him, but still worth his admiration.

Yes, but at the same time the joke is wearing thin. He's getting quite close to the edge now. Servalan is making a fool of him rather too often these days, and he isn't coping well with the knowledge.

Yes, and with us it's more a case of "Oh, look - that top was part of the sea monster last year" and so on.

Joe! Where've you been all our lives? And don't put us off custard so soon before Christmas.

They are coming down from Bathgate for the day. I will tell them to look round York and not to arrive at my house before 11, but Andrew is notorious for turning up half an hour before expected. If they do, they might just have to watch the end of 'Orbit' . . .

Yes - Pilot was asking where the Aussie blokes were!

OK, thanks for all your comments. Such a great way to start the weekend. Hope we can all make it again next week for 'spot the speck of neutron star'.

Perfect for Scarlet O'Hara, maybe with big, blowsy blossoms on it.

In the movie it was green velvet (IIRC) - she wants to impress Rhett Butler and doesn't want him to realise how poverty-stricken she is.
In The Sound of Music, Maria wanted to make nice outfits for the kids, to get them out of their sailor-suit uniforms.

Nice to be able to join in a bit - I do enjoy these chats, even if I'm not actually watching the ep!

Have a good week!

PS I'm going to miss 'Orbit', cos I'm gallivanting off to London to see Jacqueline Pearce on the big screen at the BFI (sorry, MVirn!).

Oh, lucky you Travisina. I looked it up to see if they would stream it, but no. Sad

Have a good time! Saves watching Vila sobbing in a cupboard.
