 UK Rewatch - D3 Traitor (Tuesday, Og-tober 13th)

The episode: Derek Three – Traitor (Carry On Trooper Orac) The date: Tuesday, October 13th, 2026 The time: 7.45pm UK time A reminder of Season Derek drinking game: Here’s the number of sips/swigs per each of these: Avon is knocked unconscious 1 A scientist dies (per scientist) 5 A member of the main cast wears the same costume as last week (per costume) 2 There’s the sequence (or part of the sequence) of Scorpio landing / taking off at Xenon Base 3 Vila drinks something red (per scene) 10 Tarrant falls in love 5 Soolin shoots someone (per person) 5 Slave says “sorry” (each mention) 1 Each mention of “Sleer” 2 Avon laughs manically and/or smiles inappropriately 5 There’s a downbeat ending in sharp contrast to the jangly end theme 10 The final shot of the episode includes Paul Darrow 3 A member of the main cast is killed or stunned (per cast member) 1 bottle of wine / 1 can of beer Back to Traitor, and we have a big mystery folks. Someone is going around in outrageous clothing like Servie used to wear, destroying portraits of Servie, and speaking in a deep, husky version of Servie’s voice. Just who could it be? Also, the Liberator wardrobe was clearly made of herculanium, survived in one piece, and landed on Helotrix. Oh, and we have a rebellion going on in the episode – although it’s not Avon’s lot, of course. After all, he’s already saved Teal and Vandor in “Death-Watch”, placing him ahead of Blake in number of planets saved. Talking of keeping score, anyone notice that Gunn Sar (in the last episode) and Servie (in this episode - whoops, apologies for that spoiler!!) both claim 26 kills – proof that he would have been her perfect man. He could have even done the embroidery on her dresses. Episode in a word: Suppressants. Characters to cheer: Pretty much any of the supporting characters, especially the Federation officers. A combination of the superb writing of Robert Holmes and some top-notch acting from the guest cast. Character to boo: Trooper Orac shows once again, while he might be able to take over other computers, he’s also a bit thick. Is Soolin looking lovely this week: Oui. Recognisable Face: Christopher Neame (Colonel Quute) was Skagra, the lead baddie in the 1979 Doctor Who serial “Shada”. Sadly, for Neame and the rest of the cast, a strike might the serial was never completed. But it’s seen plenty the light of day in many forms over the years. Best exchange: VILA: “Blake would have been proud of you, you know.” AVON: “I know, but then he never was very bright.” Blake's 7 will return in “Carry On Space Petrol Heads.” Edited by trevor travis on 05-10-2026 18:26 Vote Og.

Our top story tonight, Helot Zealots resist Sleer’s Pellets despite good fights from Leitz. Rebels on Helotrix continue to make gains despite Commissioner Sleer’s miracle Pylene 50. It is unclear if this setback was initiated by the death of Commissioner Sleer’s top scientist, Dr Forbus Strangelove. It is further unclear what role Kerr Avon and his band of N’er Do Wells played in the Helot revolt, but at least one rebel was seen wearing Kerr Avon’s hand me down leather and studs. Despite the overall failure of Sleer’s pacification program on Helotrix, a first for the commissioner, some progress was made, as several former resisters converted declaring that despite the frog song, it is, in fact, easy to be green. Federation Casualties include officer Leitz, who apparently suffered a cold blooded ‘Death By Icicle.’ Stay tuned for our 20:00 movie, “THX 1138.” This was a breakthrough film for George Lucas, whose work has absolutely NO influence on late 1970’s (old calendar) science fiction shows. For those who don’t know, George Lucas’s feature debut depicts a subterranean future where the populace is stripped of individuality and kept completely compliant through a mandatory, government-controlled rotation of sedative drugs, which obviously was never copied in any way by the BBC in the old calendar. . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |

How to Arrange a Visit from Serva-- er, Commissioner Sleer. Print out the picture. Colour it in. Coulour what in? Sleer wears black, and Jacs is nearly the same complexion as a sheet of A4. The picture isn't Sleer. It's the Supreme Empress Servlan. Surely you're not suggesting they are the same person. Unless you want a knock at the door
