THE WORD! - the Blake's 7 (Blakes Seven, Blake's Seven, Blakes 7) version of WORDLEWORD #01 ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ To play: post your suggestion as to which valid B7-related five-letter* word that might be. My response: I'll consider your replies and indicate progress daily as follows: Example: [B] ___ ___ [E] ___ Letters coloured pink eg. [E] are correct, but in the wrong place. Letters coloured green eg. [B] are correct and in the correct place. If there are two pink letters sharing the same incorrect position, or even a pink and a green, I'll put them together in curly brackets {X,Y}, {A, B}. It's been agreed that neither hyphens nor Roman numerals are acceptable. *Additional: by consent, from the start of the second year of THE WORD, THE WORD, six-letter  WORDS are now allowed.Winning: I'll show the correct answer when I post the new WORD, along with the name of the FIRST person to send me the correct WORD by PM. I'd say that if you know three or more letters are correct, it's worth PMing your guess.Entries end at midnight on Saturday (UK time). Three consecutive wins will mean I have to post an image of your favourite B7 character. Mind you, every time I win, I show my respect for her by posting an image of President Servalan. Additional: if the rebels can prove I made a mistake, I will remove one of the images of the Supreme Commander. (The WORD was formerly available in 'Xenon Base'. This game is, of course, a cunning plan to distract you rebels from your foolish little attempts to disrupt the Federation). The WORD, #8.17, day 1 Well, that came out rather larger than I was expecting, but it can stay for now. Yes, rebels, I won, with LIASON. I am sure Madam President would have been much amused at seeing that Taiellin found all the right letters, but not in the right order. For anyone not sure how this WORD related to B7, try watching Traitor again. As for our next WORD: ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ "You're not sulking, I hope?"

MAX: But there is nothing we can do, short of a complete wall covered with pictures of Servalan. AVON: Well, as a matter of fact, our legal advisor, Orac, suggests that since Virn misspelled the 7-letter word LIAISON as non existent 6-letter LIASON, the result of the contest is technically void. If Taiellin lodge an objection, that contest will have to be fought again - not only should that picture be removed, but also one more, according to the rules on errors. MAX: Of course! The WORD, #8.17, day 2 I knew this was going to be a good day... yes, dear intergalactic, the word 'liaison' should normally have seven letters, two of them 'i''s, but as I have made clear from the start, Tony Attwood's spelling is what I use, and on page 100 of his Blake's 7 Programme Guide, on the sixth line down, the second word is LIASON. I was as surprised as I'm sure you must be to know that this was passed by every proofreader, including our own Travisina, but there it is. Taiellin, I have tried to warn you against following intergalactic's lead before, and now perhaps you are beginning to see why. Meanwhile, VIRUS? ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ No luck there, rebels. "You're not sulking, I hope?"

but as I have made clear from the start, Tony Attwood's spelling is what I use Not seen in the rules, so it was not even known, let alone clear. And still you don't say "misspelling". I was as surprised as I'm sure you must be to know that this was passed by every proofreader, including our own Travisina, but there it is. Apparently, someone misspelled it too, or just made a typo, and if you care, you should let them know about it. Well at least you could ask Travisina why she left it out. Taiellin, I have tried to warn you against following intergalactic's lead before, and now perhaps you are beginning to see why. I am merely her liaison with the computers, she is the leader. Meanwhile, VIRUS? You missed her guess. |
