The episode: Colin Twelve – Death-Watch (Carry On Watching Blake’s 7) The date: Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which Chris Boucher gets to write his Western and does a rather magnificent job with it; Vila wants to go on holiday, but he’s daft enough to suggest the outskirts of the derelict Wembley Exhibition site, rather the lakeside at Gardinos; Avon and Servie have another snog; Avon remembers Dayna has a feud with Servie, because the script editor is writing the episode and he knows these things; Avon remembers Cally is telepathic, because the script editor is writing the episode and he knows these things; there's a cheeky reference to Star Trek being fiction within the B7 universe; and there’s TWO Tarrants in this episode – work out what you could do with two of him (steady!). Yes, it’s time to dig out your green post-it notes and stick them on your forehead, as we re-watch another brilliant episode. Episode in a word: Duel. Character to cheer: Avon is on fine form here, coming up with a clever plan to foil Servie’s schemes, and saving double the planets that Blake did in 26 episodes simply to get one up on Servie! This is perhaps the last episode of B7 to have a happy ending… well, if you ignore that (SPOILERS) Tarrant’s brother has just kicked the bucket! Character to boo: Vinni is not only an android, but highly annoying too. Deeta should have shot him in the back when he had the chance. Is Soolin looking lovely this week: Yes. Recognisable Face: Steven Bevan (Max) was Professor Jones in the Doctor Who serial “The Green Death”. The jammy git won the heart of Katy Manning’s Jo Grant. Best line: “Are you sure you can't redesign him as something useful, like a drinks dispenser? Or an empty space. I think he'd look really good as an empty space.” Blake's 7 will return in… Carry On Through The Particle Cloud Vote Og.

It’s 19:45 Earth Standard Time, and here is the news from Earth Dome One. I am your in-studio reporter, Lee R. Pantsonfire. Our top story tonight, Teal and Vandor at war again. And when I say war, I mean a two person duel to the death. Teal’s champion, Deta Tarrant, was defeated by Vandor’s champion, Vinnie, in one of the shortest duels ever recorded in the Teal / Vandor convention. President Servalan oversaw the duel, with her usual scrupulous fairness, only to be taken hostage by Dayna Melanby, one of Kerr Avon’s known desperados. Dayna Melanby, apparently losing her nerve, then withdrew without challenging President Servalan to a duel, even after claiming, without evidence, that President Servalan had murdered her father. It is little wonder these insurgents, alternately led by Blake and Avon, have accomplished nothing in their fool’s crusade against the Federation, as they are once again shown to be all talk and no action. All save Del Tarrant, who challenged the Vandor Champion Vinnie, unfairly defeated him with an unlicensed dueling weapon, and then fled the scene without claiming his reward, proving that to these people, violence IS the reward. Stay tuned for our 20:00 movie, another old calendar favorite, Gunfight At the OK Corral, albeit the non Doctor Who, non Star Trek version. This just in, sources report that President Servalan experienced another, non major rules violation involving Kerr Avon himself, but decided against filing a formal complaint, other than ‘Again, please.’ (Yes, it's a Blackadder reference) We’ll get to our movie, right after this word from our sponsor, Max Factor (no relation) smear proof lipstick. . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |

Just getting ready...tea, rich tea biccies and salted caramel choccie Pringle shaped things. I missed all that last week while on the high seas as there was no way I could access any TV programmes and besides I was just finishing dinner and on my way to watch a show. I used to consider my fascination with all kinds of fights, whether between animals or people, to be an innocent one, until I realized that it is precisely the interest of people like me in such spectacles that is responsible for the injuries and deaths that result from them. And now that I don’t allow myself to watch even the slightest bit of things like boxing or MMA, should I really be watching an episode like this? A stupid way of proving who’s right, but still far better than a real war. If politicians had watched this episode, there would never have been any wars. Yeah, right?! |

Hi Sue Did you have good holiday? Yes thank you. We were on a Fred Olsen cruise. First time with them. A small group of us ended up playing all the games on board like golf putting and carpet bowls, killer darts, indoor kurling etc, even Dolphin racing and no, no dolphins were hurt during that game. They were wooden ones on poles. At the end of the cruise one of the elderly ladies who was with her very elderly Hubby thanked me for taking the time to talk to her and her hubby...it had made her cruise as she had joined in all the games and he was happy to watch and listen to the banter!!!
