This one's a bit boring really. No action. Nobody's stabbed anyone. All face shots and nattering.

Actually, I'm not sure this episode warrants a full episode, if you see what I mean.

I spoke too soon!

Yup.

What does lying down to eat do to your digestion?

In every age, through history, it’s always been the same: too much arson about.

At least they're not eating ultraprocessed foods

Straight from the khazi to the fridge, no doubt.

You could certainly teach OSP a thing or two about being economical with asterisks.

Feels like a bit of a detour, that episode.

I will go to my grave declaiming "I used the correct amount of asterisks!"

TV dramas always have to have a court scene, don't they?

This series holds up extremely well. Still hugely impressive. Only found out this week that ITV made a 'similar' series in the late 60s called 'The Caesars'. It's on YouTube. I'm still looking for the Italian dubbed version

I think I might prefer the books to all this rambling.

You'll need to declaim in Latin if it's to have any impact

Yes, but when?

Are we almost halfway? Time for a natural break for Eurovision and Church Meetings.

Yes, but when?

She'll fake her own demise. And go and work in a different library.

Eurovision isn't natural. Have you varnished your lederhosen yet?

Good job you reminded me. I'll have to remember not to do a post this week.

I've got to chip last year's Sachertorte off them first

Well, I'll be taking the minutes at a church meeting. 'Off somewhere' suggests something rather more glamorous to me . . .

Goodnight everyone. See you in two weeks' time!

M1795537OCVirn
Yet again we come to the end. I shall miss you next week. Take care, all, and don't do anything to make Livia even slightly irritated. Like being born. Great casting for Caligula, btw.

Well, we don't know where this church is. Could be in the Seychelles...

Was there ever a St Oke, patron saint of the potty (in both senses)?

Edit: Should have added, even extending to non-believers, Happy Eurovision Week (which starts on Sunday with the Turquoise Carpet event, since you didn't ask).

Network released it on DVD. Kevin "I was in B7" Stoney plays Thrasyllus in both "The Caesars" and "I, Claudius".

The books are excellent, though I never feel the second book has a proper ending. I find Robert Graves very easy to read, though I'm also a big fan of the BBC TV production.
