What a lot of deaths there are in I, Clavdivs. I expect there will be more in this episode. Perhaps, instead of counting them, we should vote for best death of the week. Augustus was the winner for me, last week. That death bed scene as he watched the architect of his destruction walking around the room realising finally the full horror... Is CB still alive? I'm amazed that OSP or M-I-VII-whatever haven't poisoned him yet... It's touch and go. Matter of time before I'm callously cut down by OSP's asp or M-I-VII's poisoned Mivvi (or M-4-6 as she calls them). Tonight's exciting ep features another BVII luminary, I do believe. The Games people play! |

Talking of Italians, it occurs to me that Livia is almost a caricature of the Italian mother - plotting and scheming to advance her son (who doesn't really want it). It would be interesting to see this made with Italian actors of equal calibre. |
