 UK Rewatch - A6 Seek-Locate-Destroy

The episode: Albert Six – Seek-Locate-Destroy (Carry On Space Commander) The date: Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which we meet the arch-baddies for the first time and also a certain robot, and everyone forgets about…. what’s her name again? Episode in a word: Hugbot. Characters to cheer: Supreme Commander Servalan, portrayed by the brilliant Jacqueline Pearce, is fantastic from her very first line. The scene a bit later where she first flirts then pulls rank on Rai sums up her character. And Stephen Grief ‘s Travis - complete with eye-patch - is so charismatic. Such a wonderful pair of villains, who add so much to the series. Characters to boo: Blake, Avon, Gan, Vila and Jenna. There’s a sixth humanoid member of the crew called Cally. Remember her? Obviously not. Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Recognisable Face: The wonderful Peter Miles (Rontane) made a career out of playing bad-guy roles. He’s perhaps best-known as Nyder in the classic Doctor Who serial Genesis Of The Daleks, where he was the loyal henchmen to evil Dalek creator Davros. Best line: “There isn't a lock I can't open - if I'm scared enough.” Blake’s 7 will return in… Carry On Space Poirot Vote Og.

And here is the Hugbot as created by our very own Phil Stevens. It was inveiled at Forever Avon in 2022. My lovely daughter Sarah had suggested to Phil that he build the Hugbot back in 2017. Alas she didn't get to see it, but Phil said that somewhere deep inside the Robot is Sarah's name and he gave me the little cardboard model as well...     Thank you Phil.
