Hello everyone, My poll is about social media Whilst I'm not intending to close the website, and certainly I can't think of another way to have a Forum like this which has been a wonderful way of us all keeping in touch over the years, I'm wondering whether Horizon should have an Official Presence elsewhere too. At the moment we are only on Twitter/X at @HorizonBlakes7 which we started in 2012 as a means to quickly share cast/crew/merch news as well as re-tweeting various non-B7 related things that might be of interest. The account has almost 3,000 followers and has made over 5,000 tweets/re-tweets. I did think of having an official Horizon Facebook group but there were several other groups out there and as the main one (Blake's 7 Fans) was happy for me to promote Horizon 'stuff' there and having our own group would need time and careful moderating I didn't do it. But now there's also Instagram and TikTok (I know there are many more but as I already use those two personally those are the ones I'd be considering having an Official Horizon presence on.) Insta particularly appeals as this current incarnation of our website is not very image-use friendly and it's a huge hassle to prep images to go up either by staff (eg news, articles) or here on the forum. So Horizon Instagram would be a place to share my HUGE collection of event photos and video clips, as well as showing images of the merchandise Horizon sells - so a little 'shopping area'. TikTok is more for videos (and livestreaming) than our static photos but still is a popular app that we could add an official presence to. So I'm interested to know how many of you are already on one or more of those apps (and which ones) and if so would a Horizon official account be of interest (or even tempt those of you without an account to create one...)
