I love Blake's reaction to Cally's music!

I was thinking about Marryat - he seems very young to have been involved in repairing Travis in a previous incarnation of Blake's original failed 'rebellion'.

He does. If you reckon on about five years he would have to have been in nappies when he did his residency/internship.

It's 1980's or 70's lift music isn't it? GrinGrin

I have seen suggestions that they use accelerated learning processes for alpha grades, so that they leave school early and graduate from their university equivalents in their late teens. It would help to explain this, and also Tarrant being old enough to have worked on the last harvest at Kairos, seven and a half years previously (assuming that there is a harvest at the spring equinox in each hemisphere).

This episode has just taken a turn for the better with Lord Avon meeting Meegat for the first time

Obsidian
Servie is so devious, the way she is manipulating Travis by sending Maryatt with Ensor Jr.

Not exactly Bowie! I think it would have been pretty rubbish, even then.

Not up to that yet. Just watching Pat Gorman leading a bunch of marauding Neanderthal wannabes.

Archaeology of Melkite Christianity in Syria. In Oxford. Some people apparently can't make it. 11-13 July.

Sounds fascinating!

Love the way Servalan reprogrammes Travis at will. She's so good at what she does.

Yet Stephen Greif maintains he was carrying extra weight at that time, but I maintain he looks magnificent in it!

Now Pat Gorman is bashing two pieces of limestone together. Not exactly effective. And at least Neanderthals had the sense to live in caves when it was cold.

Why bother with other clothes when you can pull off a net curtain and nightgown the way Meegat can?

It must be warm in that underground base, judging by what Meegat is wearing.

AnneArthur
Do you think that Avon was already a fan favourite by then, and that this was Terry Nation's response to it?

Exactly! Although I do have clothes that aren't a net curtain, not sure they could be considered proper though Grin

Elephant cord and gold tape. They were nothing if not inventive.

Saw a pic of June Hudson the other day. She was wearing a rather wonderful pink coat. Can't wait to meet her.

Not sure. I liked him the minute he challenged Zen (hence my quote), but this ep did it for me. He is very gentle in this ep and barely raises his voice – OK, he just walloped someone – but he's milder in response to Meegat. Maybe it WAS Terry gauging the moment.

She visits a store I follow on InstaG – lives nearby. She was holding a green praying mantis toy. Looked fab.

It’s alright I think I might be just tired (and I’m a little distracted), I just saw the mention of Ensor wondered if someone was watching Orac. But I think it was a reference to Ensor Junior.

Yes the softly spoken Avon, acting the gentleman is just wonderful...
