 BLAKE'S 7 CONVENTION IN NEWCASTLE AUGUST 9th 2025

A chance to meet stars from cult science fiction programme Blake's 7 at the first 'Northern' convention. Jan Chappell (Cally), Sally Knyvette (Jenna) Brian Croucher (Travis) Sasha Mitchell (Arlen) will be joined by Mat Irvine one of the key figures in the world of visual effects for the show. The show will be hosted by John Ainsworth from Big Finish. All profits for this show will go to AGE UK North Tyneside to help Dementia in the North East. The Event will take place at Tyneside Irish Centre on St Andrews Street Newcastle. Standard entry tickets are priced at £20 VIP Tickets limited to 50 for meet and greet with guests and an opportunity to grab a photograph and 2 personal items signed. Please note that each guest will set their own fees for signatures at signing session on the day. That looks fantastic. I can't make that day (unless someone invents the teleport to get me from Newcastle to Workington at 3pm!), but I hope it's a huge success!

Excellent…a B7 convention, (fairly) close to home. VIP ticket purchased, and looking forward to a fun day out and getting to meet some heroes, in all senses of the word! I hope a few more members can make it… |

Everybody enjoy yourselves, I love to be there but it’s a 5 and 15 minutes each way that’s 10 and a half hours travelling if no holds ups, traffic jams etc, have to leave around 4am, I would have love to meet new faces and older faces, enjoy all

I've seen a number of photos of the day and it seemed to be a huge success. I particularly loved the photos of the fan-made action figures of Jenna, Cally and Travis II, being held by Sally, Jan and Brian. They seemed very pleased with all the work that went into constructing the figures, costumes and all. Glad another Blake's 7 con went off without a hitch and hope for more in the future!

Very interesting, especially the reminiscences of the actors and others about working on Blakes 7. Also fascinating to see the models used on the new Blu-ray effects. A very well-thought-out convention - many thanks to the organisers! |

Looks like Northern Horizon 2 is all set to go… After the amazing success of Horizon 1 (and I can confirm, it was an incredible day…I was there), Northern Horizon 2 is set to be announce tomorrow (Dec 2nd), to happen sometime in 2026… I’ll be grabbing a ticket instantly…Best news of the day 👍🏼 |

**INFORMATION** Norther Horizon 2 is up and running and is being held on August 1st next year...Tickets on sale now, and my VIP ticket is purchased, and I am so looking forward to going back and seeing everyone again, and a fantastic day of Blake's 7 greatness... Hopefully see a bunch of you lovely people there! |

I'm looking at tickets just now, think I'll get to this! This is my home town / not where I live now but family I can stay with nearby helps with the costs... Just not sure I'll have any pals to drag along! Do you think they'll have a solo/1st timers mixer type event?
