Calling all Aussie B7 fans on Horizon (I think there’s about 6 of us – LOL) and fans from all other parts of the world wishing to Zoom in! Tyce-con is back!! Yay! Tyce-con is “...the biggest most amazing sci-fi convention ever held in a loungeroom....” I can say that with conviction as we have the t-shirts to prove it!! LOL ![]() Tyce-con II will be held the weekend of Saturday 1st March 2025 and Sunday 2nd March 2025. It will be held in Canberra, Australia. It will run along similar lines as Tyce-con I from 2020. Tyce-con II in 2025 will include: • A binge re-watch of Season 2 • A genuine replica teleport bracelet on display (many thanks to Joe Dredd) • Display items from Tyce-con 2020 (a t-shirt, a mug, a homemade teleport bracelet & a show bag – sorry I ate the Tycesavers... um.... and ate some of the gingerbread crew… oops) • Room decorations (if we can manage it) • Possible Zoomed in cast member (maybe - if one of our wonderful Horizon team can swing it) • Food and drink: ---- Knackernicker Delights ---- Adrenaline and Soma ---- Pink Asteroids COST: Your petrol to get here. (Unless it strangely happens that we get a number of attendees that is more than I can manage in my lounge room, then will need to find a suitable venue and divvy up the costs accordingly). RSVP: End of January NOTE: Seats in my lounge room are limited. I can accommodate 4 people comfortably but if this amazing event goes viral LOL I could accommodate 8 people in a more cosy style. Just incase you need more convincing of how amazing this loungeroom sci-fi convention is please see the photos below from Tyce-con I in 2020. Hope to see you there (or see you on Zoom on the day). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() EDIT - please note I’ve removed the date of Friday 28 February as we’ve realised we only need the Saturday and Sunday to hold this event. |

If only there was a blooper reel from Tycecon1!! A pity we didn't do any recordings of the Zoom sessions. But two things will live on in Horizon history: StormyPetrel in the train loo and the Aussies locking themselves out! |

Also, people asking where the kangaroos were, and Brad wondering to Joe why all the Aussies weren't upside down on the call- and special guest Stephen Greif, and us Yanks sitting in front of our computer in our pajamas talking with our fan friends and Mr. Greif at 4 am in the morning! What's not to love? Oh yes- the 'loo' broadcast. Hilarious! Fond memories all! Resist the Host

Ah, getting up at 4 AM Chicago Time for Tyce Con.... Wouldn't miss it. Yes, I remember – we were all quite impressed to see you up at the early hour and apparantly fully dressed as well! Until someone pointed that out and you said, 'Well, you can only see us from the waist upwards...' |

Depending on what time that would be in US Eastern, I’d love to try catching the Zoom! I’ve never gotten the chance to go to a convention before, but I’ve always wanted to. I guess I’ll have to hurry up and finish painting my teleport bracelet!
Don’t be sorry. Be quiet.

I thought this was going to be the video of the bloke who punches a kangaroo in the head to rescue his dog. Or the one where the big roo tries to drown a dog. |

RSVP Yes--with the caveat that the 17 hour-time difference to Chicago, work, and other obligations will likely make my attendance as fleeting as a member of Servalan's staff...but thank you for the chance to join, Jeff. |

Would love to Zoom in. I’ll have to try my best to clear the house out though (maybe I could fake a Hoffels Radiation alarm…)
I look exactly as Avon reasoned I would.

Zooming in to Tycecon If you would like to join Tycecon 2 via Zoom, you need to PM your e-mail address to M1795537 OC Virn by Friday so than you can receive your invitation. We're likely to start the Zoom at or soon after 7pm Aussie time (that's 8am UK time and the wee small hours for the USA - sorry!) on Saturday 1st March, and if we run over our 40 mins (free) limit, we plan to start a second Zoom meeting asap after the first one ends. You will need a working webcam and a microphone: I recommend finding (in my case) and testing both before the 1st March. And make sure you don't mind us all seeing what's behind you. (Thanks for the reminder, BlueyH). Better info/more details when I have them. Watch this space. Feel free to PM me if you have queries about Zoom. |

And make sure you don't mind us all seeing what's behind you. Instead of tidying up your flat, you could also simple switch to a virutal background! ![]() |

If anyone needs an appropriate background, the BBC still have these B7 photos available from covid days: Liberator Slave Scorpio They're part of the BBC's "Joy of Sets" collection, which includes backgrounds from Top of the Pops, The Good Life, Doctor Who, Dad's Army, Eastenders, etc. |

Zooming latest.. rumour has it there's a guest attendee with Aussie connections![]() Meanwhile, to those of you who send me your e-mails, I'll reply with a 'test' message sometime this week. (Mind you, I haven't found my webcam yet....) "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Even though it may be 'silly o-clock' in the morning in the great American Midwest, we both would be honored to yawn our way through any of the festivities!

Can't promise any roos (alien or earthly), but we do get a good number of these guys visit us on our deck here in the Adelaide hills. Let's see if I can arrange a visit...

Tyce, I need to apologise for reacting so late, but I'm very sorry, I can't join your Tyce Con as it starts 9 am (my country's time) and every Saturday I am teaching Gamelan and have Gamelan orchestra rehearsal from 9 am to 2 pm. I would have loved to Zoom with our B7 fans... I wish you all a huge lot of fun! *No, I am not. I am not expendable, I'm not stupid, and I'm not going.*

2 AM Chicago time. Not sure if that's staying up real late or getting up real early.... That reminds me of something that happened to a schoolmate yonks ago. She came home very late from a party, only to bump into her parents at the doorstep who were going our very early for a fishing trip. Instead of letting her go to bed, her parents said, 'As you are up at this hour, you can prepare breakfast for us when we come back.' |

Would love to Zoom in. I’ll have to try my best to clear the house out though (maybe I could fake a Hoffels Radiation alarm…) For BlueyH and all those who would rather no-one saw their knickers (or bockers) drying in front of the fire in the background, why not take a screen shot from your favourite episode and use it as a backdrop in Zoom? It's easy to do once you have an image. Either that, or use one of those supplied by the the Beeb. Just Google them. I can't wait to see what everyone uses. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.
