Barr is barely recognisable as Avalon. Shows what a good wig and helmet can do. Yes, she seems quite different. |

If I weren't already bats, I'd go bats living in one of those cabins. Vila's cabin is always described in fanfics as tricked out with all kinds of baubles. I'm with him.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

'Perhaps I'm shy' - well, that's an excuse Blake didn't think of. It's a classic. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

34m: "Your name is Avon," says Tarrant in about the third different pronunciation of "Avon" in tonight's episode. Tarrant: So, after realizing you were one of Blake's people it was simple. You weren't Blake, I'd have recognized him. Tarrant: And too intelligent for Vila. |

People go on about Vila being stupid not to realise something was wrong with the whole Hi-tek thing, but Cally was caught as well, and nobody thinks she's stupid.

38m: Vila enters the facility and we get a whole new set, how luxurious! Cally: I think Avon's alive. Vila (downcast): He would be. haha |

They're going to have to space quite a few bodies after all this. Would Tarrant not insist on a star orbit burial? Perhaps not, for the Federation death squad. |

I believe it though with Vila... he is street smart but also he has a massive blind spot for a safe warm bed and a full belly... the lure of those was like blinkers on him. |

I think Tarrant and Dayna could have supported a spin off on their own. They have a great vibe together. Show was super lucky with its replacement characters and actors! |

He'd probably want to be fairly ruthless. Would have to clear the bodies before Cally gets back and has a hissy fit. Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Nicely done, Servalan. And later, either she's going to blast Chenga to atoms because of the way she was treated, or take over the Organ Bank and blast that nurse instead.

44m: Servalan reveals that Cally and Vila are in an organ bank colloquially called "The Slaughterhouse" and doesn't she love to deliver the line: "They need humans. I suppose you two just about qualify." I've mentioned it before but this episode has a great sense of scale. Not just the massive size of the Liberator but this neutral planet in the grand scheme of the galaxy and the federation. It's so cool that there are these worlds evolving their own weird cultures... this reminds me of the cannibal pensioners in Paradise Towers (the Doctor Who story) |

Tarrant and Dayna look at each going "Is that the standard of humour we'll have to put up with?"

That really is a big step of trust for Avon. Dayna, OK, he can just about trust her, but- allowing Tarrant control of Zen might prove a problem.

So that's Powerplay! It is a very good episode Avon: I'll introduce Cally when she wakes up... I'll introduce Vila now while he's unconscious as he's at his best haha |

What do people generally think of Tarrant and Dayna compared to Blake and Jenna? |
