Oh dear, the mysterious Shivan. With a glass eye on top of a bandage...

Look, my dad lost an eye and had such a good glass one that you wouldn't know it was false. When he was in hospital, the nurses were putting drops in both his eyes because they didn't realise that the left one wasn't real!
My views are my own.

VILA: I'm entitled to my opinion.
AVON: It is your assumption that we are entitled to it as well that is irritating.

Hi Travisina, Obsidian and M C Virn! Pleased to be here if somewhat tired. I actually have Covid. Was diagnosed last Saturday afternoon, but mainly feeling tired now and expecting to go back to work on Monday. I hope you are all well.

Oh Meegat, you poor thing! Were you vaccinated?

Yes, double vaccinated and last jab nearly four weeks before I contracted it. I am pretty sure I caught it from a customer at work. He was coughing pretty badly, despite wearing his mask. He probably should have not entered the building.

Oh wow! Doesn't that make you want to go and hide. Was it the new Delta+ strain? scarey. Glad if a speedy recovery is expected. Good luck. Hugs.

They don't tell you what strain it was unfortunately. However I suspect it was/is the Delta variant as it is meant to me more cold like and it is very cold like. The cough has been minimal and haven't really had shortness of breath so I think I (we since John has caught it too) have been lucky.
Thinking of you. Here, a third booster shot is suggested.
Yes, it's something they are discussing, but I think it will be offered to the oldest only at first.

That was a very thin explanation of Glynn's. Blake would have to be hypnotised to accept it.

Think I'd slap him too.

Don't we want to slap him most weeks?
Why doesn't anyone ever try to take over Vila's brain?

I could say 'because they'd have to find it first', but I won't, 'cos I like Vila. Possibly because he has an unusual brain - acts the fool, while being very clever.

And Blake acts clever while being a fool?

Yep. And Avon, too - but at least he realises this ("I never recognised the fool" )

Vila has what we'd call 'street smarts' while actually being intelligent. It's the case of a smart person who hasn't had an education and makes up for it other ways. Blake lacks street smarts or even a healthy dose of cynicism. You know it's all because of the new haircut... Grin

I like Servalan's outfit here. They are much more practical at this point - they go really OTT later.

Avon's IS clever but this is not his metier. He's more self-aware than Blake. Blake may have had his removed. His gullibility levels are quite high. He's a bit "I want to believe."

Yes, I love the sort of military cut to her outfit. A bit like in Trial, too.

True.
Because Vila's brain is illogical and irrational, and his thoughts are cloudy? I'd love an episode on that theme though!
Avon: "Not enough! Not nearly enough! Dammit, what weighs seventy kilos?"
Orac: "Vila weighs seventy-three kilos, Avon."
Avon: "Vila, are you here? I need your help."

To what extent are Travis and Servalan in cahoots here? It's often difficult to determine how much Servie is capitalising on Travis's outlaw status behind the scenes.

Still don't like those buttons. Either metallic, or smaller. Big flat plastic isn't her.

I see to remember them back in the 70s. They came in sample bags at the Show.

Don't know what just cut there. Yes, maybe that's the way to cast it. It would have to be a totally deadpan story.
