Does anyone have a good recipe for drain cleaner, by the way?

Do you have a septic tank or mains drainage?
You're not sulking, I hope?

It's going to be a bit weird for a while, because of course there's a lot of cross-pollination with what I do for Big Finish on Horizon (and vice versa). I think I'll be okay to carry on doing BF promotions and news, but I need to hand over the reviewing to others.

I know that Stormy's not keen on writing reviews, but would you be interested, M...Virn?

You know I'll do anything for you, O great one. Well, almost.

Great, thanks. There are a few BF releases that I didn't manage to review when they came out. I'll let you know which ones they were, and if you've got them, would you like to have a go at those?
My views are my own.

VILA: I'm entitled to my opinion.
AVON: It is your assumption that we are entitled to it as well that is irritating.

equal amounts of vinegar and bicarb usually helps. About 1/2 cup each.

Thatís next on the list, then. I bought caustic soda, then realised I hadnít bought anything to mix it in!

Maybe you should get a Drains Person (Dyno Rod?) to make sure that nothing's crawled into the pipe and died. Or that the previous owner wasn't a serial killer...

Otherwise, I agree with MVirn - vinegar and bicarb.

I can go back into the stuff we did on the Articles (Reviews) and check. If I don't have them, maybe your lending library could help?

I love vinegar, I use it for all sorts of cleaning purposes as well as culinary.

The possibility of the previous owner still being here has been discussed. But Iím not sure burying a body under an upstairs floor would be terribly practical...

My friend texted me the other day that now he knew he was middle class- his wife was using cider vinegar to clean the windows!
(Although I once used Laphroaig whisky in the absence of rubbing alcohol, so my ability to comment was restricted).

Returning to Pratchett for a moment, my husband asked me to read 'Making Money' to him, which I did, and was struck by the fact that you really NEED to have read some other Discworld stuff first. That doesn't happen in the same way with the earlier ones. Definitely less character build-up and explanation. Now I'm having to read 'Going Postal' to give him the background to it, and I can see 'Men of Clay' lurking after that as well.
OK, back to the real stuff....

Do you have to test all your husbandís books for him, or just the Pratchett ones?

Ah, to, not for, that makes more sense...

It's just friendly to read to each other sometimes. Although it's mostly one-way these days because I always fall asleep when it's his turn.

I canít bear being read to. Ever since I learned to read. As this happened unfeasibly early, my mother has never forgiven me for depriving her of being able to read to her little girl.

Depends who's doing the reading! I'm enjoying the audiobook of Jane Eyre on BBC Sounds, serialised in a zillion chapters and read by I don't know who, but she has a very pleasing voice.
