Quite the double bill! Not sure what my WS highlight is. So many candidates - "bust his *ss", hat, letter, Basil rumbled, Basil's meltdown etc etc. Basically, it's all about the interaction between JC and Bruce B. The timing is once-in-a-lifetime stuff. K&tC isn't too shabby either. Praying I get back in time for this rewatch! |

Haven't seen Waldorf Salad for ages. K & C is great from start to finish and features one of my all time faves: Geoffrey Palmer. Luvly jubbly to quote from another britcom classic.

Watched a Steve Martin film last night, and couldn't help noticing that he does for American comedy much the same as John Cleese does for ours - writer, director and actor, with lots of slapstick based on minutely detailed observation, backed up by a keen intelligence that knows its target audience. Yet completely unlike (and more effective than) almost anyone else at creating this kind of comedy. See you later. "You're not sulking, I hope?"
