Bit of a sad one, this. We lose Cally and say goodbye to the Liberator (flying through a space algal bloom is never a good idea) while Servalan spends a lot of time and money to bring Blake back, if they're prepared to take her word for it. At least in all the confusion Vila has the sense to rescue Orac. Most significant line? Avon's "I always thought (Blake's) death and mine might be linked somehow." Most memorable line? (All together) "Maximum Power!" "You're not sulking, I hope?"

Yes I too was saddened to see Cally die off & Vila calling out to her.

Got friends coming over from Perth. Western Australia & they're bout to board. Should arrive 1am Melbourne time. Perth is 3hr flight .I'll try & meet up with them tomorrow, they're due back Tuesday & I'm working so can't during the day. Australia

Never mind Avon's and Blake's deaths, their lives seem to be converging. Avon is very reminiscent of Blake at his worst here, presenting his colleagues with a fait accompli and assuming that they will go along with it. |

I was going to ask why Avon doesn't wonder why Blake should choose such a roundabout way of getting Avon to come to him, but then thought of what Blake actually did do in 'Blake'. I have to conclude that Avon knows his man.

I'd have to say this episode would have to one of the safest ones. Losing Cally was bad enough but the Liberator!?? I think it was meant to be the end, then they decided to renew for another series. I like Scorpio, but I do miss the Liberator. |

With hindsight, the signs that the whole meeting with Blake is taking place in Avon's head are there, but I didn't notice them when I first watched this. |

Me too Anne I'll miss the Liberator. I've seen models on ebay for sale. But at the they're asking bit pricey. I started to build my own hut came to an abrupt holt.

Glad to hear that. I'm ok been busy & hectic few weeks. The Grand Final was today & Geelong won by 90 points! I'm afraid I had to google that! I had friends at Uni who used to play Aussie rules football - there was even an annual Oxford/Cambridge match at one point. Perhaps there still is. I was up until 1am last night watching Roger Federer's last ever tennis match, so I'm pretty tired this morning. He and Nadal so nearly won, but sadly there was no fairytale ending. |
