 UK Rewatch - C11 Moloch

The episode: Colin Eleven – Moloch (Carry On Space KFC) The date: Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 The time: 7.45pm UK time All together now: “It's great to be free. It's great to be free. It's great to be free from the law. It's great to be free. And we all agree. We're not going back anymore. Anymore, anymore. We’re not going back anymore. It’s great to be free. And we all agree. We’re not going back anymore.” Yup, it’s time to get right back to basics with this wonderful black comedy, as the model of the London re-appears and we meet up with Doran, who comes from a penal colony and is clearly based a bit on Gan. Meanwhile, Avon eats an apple and his wrist is tortured, while the future of mankind looks like a bargain bucket of chicken without the bargain bucket. Episode in a word: Rapists. Characters to cheer: Vila is on fine form here. He stands up to Tarrant’s bullying this time around, and he forms a great couple of double-acts with Doran and, unexpectedly, Servalan. Character to boo: Grose and Lector are simply nasty pieces of work. They’ve basically turned Sardos into the Planet Of The Rapists. Is Soolin looking lovely this week: Yes. Recognisable Face: Davyd Harries (Doran) played Shapp in the Doctor Who tale, “The Armageddon Factor”. Best exchange: TARRANT: “What would Servalan want with a penal colony?” AVON: “Who knows? Perhaps she wants to compare notes with some other genocidal maniacs. Or take a refresher course in basic brutality.” Blake's 7 will return in… Carry On Watching Blake’s 7 Vote Og.

This plot line is likely to sicken. That Doran's a bomb that is tickin'. Vila gets drafted, that poor mouse gets shafted, And this planet's run by a plucked chicken. . .  Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |

Gross and Lector are nasty pieces of work, and glad when they get their comeuppance, but otherwise this does feel like B7 getting back to basics. Vote Og.
