Do we ever get a reason why they take the egg-thing back to the Liberator? Or is it just the influence of the alien? I assume the egg thing held the alien's essence and it compelled Cally to carry it to Liberator. It's Avon who tells Vila to pick it up, though, so it must be affecting all of them. |

As TT pointed out in the intro, lots of nice character bits and pieces - shame most of them weren't followed up in later episodes. But it leaves a lot of scope for the imagination. If this were one of the 90s Star Treks, for example, all these relationships would be examined and re-examined and generally done to death. |
