Hi MS Virn, Obsidian!

Tyce
Did Cally draw the sketch? If so when did become an artist? Or did she find it on ‘google’?

Sorry to hear you're still feeling under the weather, Obsidian. This thing really seems to take a long time to throw off - hope you get over it soon.

Yes, time to stew is unhelpful. It depends what it is you think you need to know. Invariably, it will be the mission statement and Equal Opportunity rules ahead of anything else.
Don't philosophise at me you electronic moron.

Decide you haven't got it and let it go. (If it happens, so much the better).

It does make him telling her not to dwell on the past ironic - and they both know it.

A nice exchange between Avon and Cally. He's not really much good at sympathy, but she understands him.

That exchange is one of the best in the whole of B7 - and yes I know it’s got some serious competition.

Avon has also got much better about putting Tarrant in his place.

Where did she get the graphite writing sticks, or did she pinch them from the Thaarn?

Being Winter doesn't help things. If it persists, as they say, I'll see my doctor.

I was going to do that, until my ex-boss told me to spend several days reading up about it and preparing myself. I feel bad about not doing this, and feel bad about (possibly) wasting my time doing it. I cam compromising by taking Monday as a holiday (it is a bank holiday, after all) and preparing. But yes, otherwise I need to let it go, as you say.

Ha, yes.

Dayna always seems so knowledgeable for someone who had such limited life experience before she met this lot. I mean, Justin??

That sounds sensible.

Avon has a point and so does Cally. The others did want to go across, Avon just did the scientific thing and did a bit of empirical observation.

I get the impression she has had quite an academic education - and she hasn't actually had a lot else to do.

There isn't an emoji here for 'sympathy'. If there was I'd use it, because I do sympathise. Rotten situation, after the struggle you've had recently. Stick with B7.

Mmmm, agreed. Hal Mellanby would have made sure she had the best tutors, as spivvy as they might seem in retrospect.

One thing I like about Tanith Lee episdoes is the way that they pick up on relationships that were always hinted at and do interesting things with them.

I have requested more emojis previously, but it requires Mr. Travisina to have more time to develop them – or more interest in doing so.

Knowledge, yes, but that wouldn't give her the wisdom to go with it. (She'd be more like Tarrant! Rushing things, over-confident, jealous etc hahaha) I think the part quickly started being written as someone older than they told us she was when she first joined. They forgot. Or it's been years since 'Aftermath'.

The thought that, if I don't get it, my guaranteed income is a bit under £500 a month is worrying in the present circumstances. I can and will probably make more from freelance work, but still . . .

You are right, stick to Blakes 7. It's a nice distraction!

I do like the relationships in Blakes 7. I know it's because of a varied writing team and general carelessness, but the way relationships are hinted at rather than made clear is very appealing (and leaves lots of room for e.g. fanfiction). In one of the 90s Star Treks, the relationship between Avon and Cally would have been examined, re-eaxmined, spelled out and generally done to death.

I love this costume of Dayna's but I imagine it's one of, if not The one, she was referring to back in an old Horizon interview when she said she'd been afraid at times of falling out of her costume.

This is a haunted house story really, isn't it?

How back in the 70’s on the BBC’s budget did they manage to get those heart strings to shimmer as if they are being played?

It has been done quite a bit but not to death, I don't think. There are only a couple that I really like and M.G.Harris/Lupita Harris' are those that stick with me.
