Both feel like part of an ongoing quarrel that we are only seeing part of.

Did it start in 'The Keeper'? They had quite a marital over blasting Travis' ship.

Perhaps after 'Countdown'? Cally might have had hopes of a relationship, that were dashed by his obviously still having a thing for Anna. That might be behind her anger at his revenge project here.

I was just about to say that if this is the UEA, I never saw that building when I was there. But that explains it.

But where is the place they are all climbing over - that looks more like a hydroelectric plant or something?

Ah, not UEA? Leeds Beckett?

Not looking forward to the end of this ep - the WORST 'humorous' last line of all.

This may be the first time she's heard of Anna, though. I don't think Avon told anybody about his conversation with Del Grant - certainly not Blake, and very doubtful if he'd have shared with anyone else.

Absolutely. Plenty of 'differently-coloured' actors had appeared on the TV and in film in the UK before the late '70s. Maybe it was the casting director's choice. Ric Young had already appeared in several things.

Yes, that's a different location in Yorkshire, by a reservoir. Can't remember what it's called.

Oh yes, this was very much a headcanon explanation of something that is easily explained in real life by casting practices - and the increasing employment of ethnic minority actors over the period covered by the series.

What a wonderfully Wuthering Heights name.

Yes, it's a fairly tasteless joke, but that's a the nature of gallow's humour.

Yeah, what I meant was that he snubbed Blake and didn't 'tell him about Anna'. But I suppose Avon having feelings would seem quite novel and interesting to the rest of the crew.

Thanks, MsVirn, I couldn't remember. And yes - a very Bronte-esque name!

But the usual reaction to tasteless jokes would be a groan, or 'tut-tut, that wasn't nice, was it?' rather than full blown hilarity?

Can't remember the name of the fanfic I mentioned earlier. I know Patar is the only one left of the original group. Must see if I can find it. It's definitely a PGP.

I'm busy wrangling fanzines at the moment having nowhere really to put the huge pile presently acting as a door stop. Might be able to find the story based on what last managed to squeeze into the cupboard.

Not my favourite ep by any means, but it was great watching it in company!
Hope to be over my own plague by next week. Take care and stay safe, everyone - and get well soon to all those who are poorly!

Oh, well. Back to real life. At least I can feel virtuous about the redecorating I started yesterday - I'm off to see if the paint has dried on the radiator.
WARNING: KITTENS ARE NO HELP WITH EITHER PAINT OR HONEY.

Lovely to have you back, Obsidian. Missed you!. Hope everyone has a great week and comes back ready for the emotional trauma that is 'Rumours'. Cheers.

The next generation of Auronar is part of the vast and baggy PGP that I have been writing for years now. I live in hopes of one day finishing it - and cutting it down to a readable length - but real life keeps getting in the way, alas.

All the singletons are having a laugh at the idea of dealing with so many children. Hilarity, rather than creeping around trying not to offend anyone, especially not Cally, I imagine would be the natural response, quite simply as a point of relief. If Cally were there, I don't think they would have done it

It's not my favourite ep. either, but I find Gingka refreshing because he's so well-played.

You take care Travisina. Let everyone else do some running around for a change. Hugs xx

I agree - and perhaps an element of letting off steam while she isn't there and they don't have to be careful.

Actually, yes. Grin Unofficially, it is 'Blake's 7: the Next Generation' - which shows you how long ago I started writing it . . .
