Until TT comes along, here is a reminder that this rewatch takes place Tuesday, 5, July at 7:45 PM London Time. Is Soolin looking lovely? TT will explain later. Is Dayna looking lovely? Hugbot will explain later. I don't mean to be such a bore, As Avon has come to the fore, And two whose parts lacked, tore up their contracts, But just HOW LONG was that darned war? Hoping to participate in this one tonight. It's a toss-up between this and a re-watch of 'Whodunnit?' with Jon Pertwee (series 3, episode 4). Tricky one. Do I pit my crime-solving wits against a 1970s panel of irritating, fashion-challenged semi-celebrities, or do I watch the Blake's 7 production team blow 90% of the Series C special effects budget in the first five minutes? Such riches to choose between!

Huggy, very funny! I would also like to point out that the rather nice computer expert is wearing a lovely flowing black shirt. I don't know if it is nice and soft to touch as Our Gary, Keeper of the costumes, has not been able to locate said flowing black shirt; but I reckon it is. Maybe later, TT (he who explains everything) can tell us where that other teleport bracelet came from? Unless, of course, Cally foresaw that Avon would need 2 bracelets. What a clever lass.... Oh yes, don't forget to watch out for the only people on the beach who didn't get the message about filming taking place!! The episode: Colin One – Aftermath (Carry On Doing Watersports) The date: Tuesday, July 5th, 2022 The time: 7.45pm UK time In which we can get out our stopwatches to record the length of the Intergalactic War; the fates of Vila and Cally are left in the balance, while Blake and Jenna go ‘the other way’; Avon moves to top billing and gets to snog both Dayna and Servie; the local Rent-A-Tribe take their Annual Leave to go to Bamburgh beach for two weeks; Servie shoots a blind man in the back; and some curly-haired chap turns up in the closing seconds. Episode in a word: Aftermath (can’t beat the episode title in this case). Characters to cheer: Dayna is immediately likeable, while Jacs smoulders as Servie in this episode. That week must just be worth it. Character to boo: Chel needs some stress balls, like Rimmer in “Red Dwarf”, to help him chill out a bit. Grind those balls, Chel! Is Soolin looking lovely this week?: Yes. Recognisable Face, or rather voice: Cy Grant (Hal Mellanby) was Lieutenant Green in Captain Scarlet. How cool is that? I don’t think he can be related to Del Grant, since he’s not ginger. Oh, and look out for the cameo by Captain Mike Yates and the Tereptil Leader (both from Doctor Who) as doomed Federation Troopers. Best exchange: MELLANBY: “You were magnificent.” AVON: “Not from where I was sitting.” Blake's 7 will return in… Carry On Space Nurse Vote Og.

When B7 first aired in Chicago, I was working at a consumer electronics store. I would tape the episode on VHS Sunday night and several of us would watch it the next day at the store. When we got to the end of Aftermath, the satellite tech watches as Dayna and Tarrant were 'sworn in' by Avon, and said, "I think it will be a while before we see Blake and Jenna again."
