The S3 Blu-ray is up for pre-order at Amazon UK, HMV, and Rarewaves. The release date seems to be 6th October 2026.

Following the devastating Galactic War, the Liberator lies heavily damaged and its scattered crew must fight to reunite and rebuild their resistance.

Avon forges uneasy new alliances, including [SPOILER!!] the gifted weapons expert Dayna and the hot headed pilot Tarrant who eventually join the Liberator crew. [SPOILER!!] With a renewed threat from Servalan, now risen to Federation President and more dangerous than ever, can the newly formed team escape her relentless attempts to capture their ship in pursuit of maximum power?

Across thirteen thrilling adventures, the crew battle ruthless Federation plots, mysterious worlds and formidable alien forces, from surviving the volcanic planet Obsidian to confronting the mind bending dangers of Ultraworld and uncovering dark secrets from Avon’s past.

Packed with tension, moral ambiguity and the series’ signature blend of character drama and high stakes sci fi, Series 3 marks a bold new chapter for the Liberator and its fugitives.

Blake’s 7 The Collection: Series 3 will also be jam-packed with hours of new and exclusive material.

This 6-disc box set also features English Subtitles.

Rarewaves think it such a big deal it's made it to one of their banners.

Great news, October seems a long way off though!

Here's hoping they get Josette Simon onboard to record some interviews and commentaries. We know she's not interested in reviving the character but hopefully she will see a reunion and reflection as something completely different and enjoyable.

Look at the disc on the right. "Redemption" and "Shadow". Oops! Someone forgot to update things.

Loved what I saw in the trailer - floating space debris - women snogging Avon.... Jan and Colin Baker. Great news!

They've updated the Kairopanner spider to make it more spider-y. Just to make the Aussie rewatch feel more like home, I suppose!

Better go watch S2, then.

And, oh, just watched the trailer. The photo of Paul Darrow smiling in the spotty shirt belongs to me. I own the negatives. I bought them from the daughter of the photographer. Someone might like to pay me for using MY property. NOT HAPPY!

Well this is all kinds of awesome!

Does anyone know if there's likely to be a screening at the BFI for this one? I only found out about the S2 screening after the event and was deeply unhappy to have missed it!

Also, does RTD's inelegant exit from working with the BBC run the risk of impacting an S4 release?

So, amending my quibble about the use of the smiley, spotty-shirted PD still photograph, all has been settled thanks to Joe Dredd's very quick action in contacting the producer of the Starman documentary, Chris Chapman. He's been very understanding and suitably generous, so feathers are now unruffled and, for once, Aussie fen get some acknowledgement. Yay us!

Joe beat me to it - I was going to ask Chris about it after I read your comment. My guess would have been that the photographer had given a copy of the photo to Paul himself and many of the images being used for the documentary were from Paul's own collection (along with many of my own photos) so they didn't 'find' it on Pinterest and wouldn't have seen your notice of copyright. I don't believe I've ever seen the photo before (a very nice one, I might add!) - not a huge fan of Pinterest as I get annoyed seeing my own personally taken photos up there with no credit shown.

Yes, I'd imagine Paul had a copy himself and Chris did tell me most of the stuff came from his archives, but very few people seem to care who holds copyright. It always lies with the photographer, their estate or who they passed the copyright to.

There are several shots amongst the negatives that I'd be happy to share somehow or another. I agree with you about Pinterest, and I know there are lots of your photos circulating. I've posted several. I always try to mention whose photograph it is if I can identify the photographer. Comes from the academic background and naming your sources. The agonies one has to go through when publishing someone else's images in journals and books are horrific.

Here's another pic from the same photo shoot, just as a taster. i.postimg.cc/fyKm7vDy/Paul-Lighter1V2.jpg There are several head shots and long shots like this.

Another gorgeous shot!

I don't know what to say about the copyright - if for example Paul had kept photos he was given and the photographer hadn't stamped the back to say whose copyright it was how would they find out all those years later, so I guess you just use them for your important tribute documentary and hope for the best, and perhaps say 'photos from Paul's personal collection'
