Hello I am a Brummie that now lives in the US. I moved from the UK in 2023. I was parked there in front of the TV from The Way Back on Jan 2nd 78 right the way through to The Ruined Christmas,in December 81 watching every episode "live" with my late parents. I know a few of you here (hello Andy/Clanger 68) but was wondering if there are any fans in the general vicinity of Indianapolis IN? In Brum, going to the shop felt like a trek, now going to Tennessee and back in a weekend feels like a short drive so I guess distance isn't that much of an object! |

Well, hello fellow Hoosier! We are at the extreme northern border of Indiana, with Lake Michigan only 3 miles away from our house so yes, we are in the vicinity so to speak. We'll be soon driving through Indy on our way to an annual meet up of friends on Labor Day- so we'll wave while we drive through your fair city. It's always nice to know other members who are in the USA, whether American or not. So, welcome- my husband Brad and I (Paula) are Moderators and have been B7 fanatics since 1985. We're also Administrators on a few B7 sites on Facebook too. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Chicago TARDIS con, our nearby Doctor Who convention held each Thanksgiving weekend in November, in Lombard, Illinois. If you are so inclined, look it up and consider going. We had Jan Chappell and Brian Croucher guest last year and we had a ball. Cheers.

Brad here, Paula's (above) husband. Yes, we are in the same state, but keep in mind, that's still a three hour drive away.... (and that's only half the state.... )
. . Cockatoo? What Cockatoo? I don't see a Cockatoo! |

Thanks for the replies guys. We will be taking a break for my birthday in early October, in Grand Haven. We are destined to drive past each other haha Yes distance is different here. We went to a family reunion three weeks ago with a 1000 mile round trip in 4 days; I used to think it was a slog driving from Birmingham to Steventon for the B7 days! And that was 140 round trip! |

Three hours is nothing! (Welcome aboard) Yes all relative - I don't even think about long trips now except the Northside back home to the Southside (28 miles) that takes up to three hours after work thanks to construction! and thank you! |

Welcome to the giant United States of America, where we here in Indiana can drive a good 7-8 hours and still be in the same state! Amazing, isn't it? Grand Haven? Yep- we'll be passing near each other. Do remember to wave! Resist the Host
