Out of curiousity I was wondering if there have been any Blakes 7 conventions held here in Canada or in the USA? I suppose its been awhile since one was held here?

Although our current local con, Chicago TARDIS, is a Doctor Who convention primarily, last year the organizers celebrated Blake's 7 by inviting Brian Croucher and Jan Chappell as guests. Sally Knyvette was invited but had to drop out later. The inclusion of the Blake's 7 guests was overwhelmingly popular and it seemed the B7 fans came out of the woodwork to see the guests. So far there are no Blake's 7 actors scheduled to attend this year but it's early yet. If we get any new guests announced having to do with Blake's 7, I'll be sure and broadcast it here. Other than that, I don't know of any other cons with B7 guests, other than Gallifrey One, which is the sister con to Chicago TARDIS, held in Los Angeles each year. They had the above trio for guests last year and it was another triumph.

Certain American B7 fans are known to subvert every DW con, e.g. by wearing "I'd rather be watching Blake's 7" t-shirts, derailing panels with Colin Baker to have him talk about his time as Bayban instead as the Doctor, or have a Dalek* propose an alliance against Blake to Jacs Pearce...

*I know, it was TT inside the Dalek, but the Americans went happily along with it.

Give them all medals, I say.

Guilty as charged and not at all embarrassed!
