Jan Chappell in
Unsung Heroine - The Imagined History of Troubadour Countess Beatriz de Dia
15th July 2017
St Mary's Old Church, Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 9ES

In this musical performance by The Telling, part of the Stoke Newington Early Music Festival, Jan Chappell plays the redoubtable Beatriz, La Comtessa de Dia, a feisty woman troubadour.

A blending of history and fiction, this intimate concert/play takes you back to the heady atmosphere of 12th century Provence with plaintive songs and foot-stomping medieval dances.
