Liberator Chronicles Volume 3: The Armageddon Storm is an epic three-part story set during Season C.

The dust had hardly settled after the momentous Warship before The Armageddon Storm blew in today from Big Finish! Released as a Valentine’s Day present to fans, this 3-CD epic story heralds the return of one of B7’s most memorable guest characters – Del Grant. Tom Chadbon, who played Grant in the Series B episode Countdown, appears together with Paul Darrow as Avon, Michael Keating as Vila and Jan Chappell as Cally.

When mercenary Del Grant alerts the Liberator crew to the existence of a new Federation super-weapon, Avon leads an epic battle to avert catastrophe...

“The brief I gave for The Armageddon Storm was to deliver a huge action movie that was spread over three episodes,” says producer David Richardson. “That’s never really been done before in Blake’s 7. And set against all the thrills and danger, we have Tom Chadbon back as Grant, a character who shares with Avon a deep sadness over the death of his sister Anna Grant. What he doesn’t know, of course, is that Anna was a Federation agent who faked her own death. And now Avon has killed her…”

The three-episode story was written by Mark Wright and Cavan Scott, who wrote the first B7 novel for Big Finish, The Forgotten. It was directed by Ken Bentley, who also directed Big Finish's all-cast audio drama, Warship.
