OK, as much as I like the regulars, this is in desperate need of them needing other people to talk to, to drive the story. Why didn't they crash a spaceship onto the planet, and then have them die off one-by-one? 1038 |

"History doesn't mean anything when you travel through space and time" You know.... except for the stories where the Doctor bangs on about not changing "one line!" There was a chance for the Doctor to give us a bit of a Vortis history lesson too, but nope. Edited by Gauda Cheese on 03 May 2015 09:43:37 |

In context of answering Ian's question, the point was that you would have no idea if the events were in the relative past, present or future. They're not at that moment really talking about the ethics of interference so much as locating their place in Vortis' timeline. 1043 |

That's actually a pretty well directed fight scene, in the circumstances! ![]() 1044 |

Ok, I've Episode 3 has one plus. It's called "Escape To Danger". Terry Dicks would have one chapter called that in every novelisation ![]() 1048 |

So the Doctor only knows about Earth history? No other planets too? BOOOOOOOOOOOO But they have no reference point to determine where they are! The Doctor doesn't say that he doesn't know the history of Vortis, only that travelling in time means that 'history' is an invalid concept if you land before or during events. Remember the first episode of The Reign of Terror? They have no idea just from the field what time they are in! Even the farmhouse alone is not enough until they meet Pierre. 1050 |

Um... I've been putting times as if it's 9 something in the UK but I just realised it's actually 10 something (for the next 7 minutes anyway). Sorry didn't mean to confuse anyone. 10.53 |

A mid-story Tardis scene, something else I like to see in stories. For me, it adds a more epic feel to events if Tardis scenes don't just happen at the start and finish. 1056 |

This just is not sustaining my interest.... six episodes with just the four characters just doesn't work. 1057 |
