I'm not around for this as I'm out tomorrow, and I know that TT is also unavailable, so I have left this one off the schedule in case you wanted to hold on for a week. Hopefully there's enough of you down under who can make it and allow this to go ahead okay, but I thought it best to give apologies for my absence as soon as possible.

Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

We can start this next week, no problem. It's generally us three anyway with occasional visits by Tyce

I don't think my poor brain could stand being subjected to any more than two episodes of "The Web Planet" per week. Grin

If we don't rewatch it over the next two Sunday's I'll miss part of it anyway, because I'm here for those but then working the following week.

I believe making prisoners watch all six episodes of “The Web Planet” in one go is a successful technique used in Guantanamo Bay…. it’s enough to break anyone Wink

I'd say get nicely drunk first, but it'll be too early for you all.

OK, let’s go for three episodes per week. But don’t blame me, if anyone gnaws off one of their own legs, or anyone has their own large intestine leap up through their body and throttle their brain halfway through the rewatch. Grin

They are two different types of story.

Any criticism of "Nimon" tends to come from those who think it's a bit of a panto. It's rarely criticised for being boring.

On the other hand, any criticism of the Zarbi story tends to come from those who find episodes 2 to 6 terminally boring. It's rarely critcised for being a panto.

While I promised to be nice during "The Leisure Hive" rewatch, I can't really make promises about this one Wink

It's better than panto, definitely. Oops

It's a slow burner, but I think its the lack of any non-regular human characters to relate to that's a sticking point. Other productions, not just in Dr Who but drama in general, are much slower; but people find Web Planet slow because they never reach that point of caring what happens there.

TT do you want to watch this over two weeks or three?

Two weeks it is Oops

Also episode 3 is called Escape to Danger! Uncle Terry (the other Uncle Terry that is) loves to use that as a chapter title

Just bumping this thread for later this morning/evening; three episodes of The Web Planet! Looking forward to this, and spoilt for Dr Who rewatches this week having done City of Death on Wednesday.
