If one of them even coughed, the BBC would have to pay them extra! So, no...

Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

On occasions, Maureen O'Brien could over act even worse than Carol Ann Ford...

No, I like her.

So do I, but she was still over the top sometimes. I don't base liking or disliking purely on ability, but on effort too. Both actresses put a lot into the roles, so I like them both for that whatever the shortcomings performance wise.

I guess so, although for me there's quite a big difference between Maureen O'Brien (a good actress) and Carole Ann Ford (a fairly poor one).

The climax in the judgement hall is pretty good.

Have either of you read the novelisation?

I think so! A long, long time ago!!!!

It's pretty epic, with a lot more events in the plot than this original version.

Reminds me of the Monty Python sketch where actors who don't have lines keep talking so they can be paid more.

Backtracking slightly, I think a reason why Carol Ann Ford is adored by fandom while Jackie Lane/Dodo is generally disliked or just plain ignored is due to the attitude of the actress as much as whether they were good or not in their respective roles.

Has Jackie Lane ever been to any conventions?
