Original Liberator prop/model for sale?
littlesue
Yes, he is at it again. Selling the Blakes 7 Prop on Ebay. This time it's 15,000.
He's lowered the price and would like it to go to a real fan before it goes to America.
Err...didn't he say that last time...and the time before?
Any takers???Oops
Cold.....you don't know the meaning of cold.

Yes ... ummm ... no!! Grin

This isn't the original screen-used Liberator model, so as a good REPLICA it is still over-priced. 3-5000 would be nearer the mark.

I mentioned to him last time that I had seen the one that Mat Irvine has, and this guy was most rude; going on about lawsuits and how his was the original etc etc.
Not a very nice man at all.Sad

Not sure I'd pay 15K pounds for an original Jenna.

Clanger, 15K is just the outlay. After that comes the upkeep. Maintenance is bound to run 30K per year or more.

.....But it's Jenna!

and you could always employ Vila to help cover her upkeep costs!

Perhaps we could go in 50/50.

The seller 'would like it to go to a real fan before it goes to America'. Well thank you very much! At the price he's asking I doubt he'd get many takers, American or otherwise.

I'm a real fan and an American living in America. Nice little poke he gave me, eh? Angry -Paula

Agreed completely. That was a bit irksome.
You are beautiful, you are wonderful, and you are loved.

My favourite bit of that auction is where he is charging 1.20 for delivery via first class Royal Mail!

A few years ago we (Travisina and me, that is) had that very model in our possession for the best part of a year. (Long story but we'd done an exhibition with Martin B. when he still owned it, and he couldn't arrange transport back to his place for a while.) I can tell you that thing weighs a ton! Moving that model every time you wanted to hoover round it was no fun at all. Its pods are solid wood and plastic and the stand is solid steel! So good luck finding a post office that'll send that for 1.20!

Cool

Wait, which auction are we talking about again?

He'd relisted it...still at 40,000 though

Apart from the fact that somehow I don't think the model will go through the 8cm slot, I think it a bit rich that he is charging the winner of the auction 1.20 to actually go and pick the thing up! Mind you, that is quite cheap...there are some Ebayers who charge quite a litle bit more for one to drive to their house and collect the itemAngry

I guess with the invention of 3d printing, it would now be possible to print a teleport bracelet ?
all you would have to do is fit a hinge & paint it.
I wonder if anyone with the skill will attempt this ?

Yes, that's possible.
It will take about 100 burning hours for the liquid printer.
