Should Jarvik have been a semi-regular?
sweevo
I think each season should have had its own "boss", while retaining Servalan as the primary antagonist.

1. Travis
2. Carnell
3. Jarvik
4. Servalan

Food for thought Sweevo.

Just contemplating Barney with Carnell as Servie's sidekick. Yes, that would have been interesting, and it could have left the question open is to whether Carnell was manipulating the crew to find the location of "Star One" on Servie's behalf.

A whole season of Carnell... you have my attention.

There would have been nothing on Liberator for him to do, too much technology and not enough 'manly' physical toil to posture over.

I think it was more a question of him staying on as a replacement for Travis than joining the rebellion...

Ah yes, my mistake. Same point though Servalan would soon ave got bored with him doing pressup when she wanted to work and would have sent him back to his artisans.

No, because I find him ridiculous.

President Solvite
No there were better options for this than Jarvik

Tarrant: “He was a special sort of man.” Seriously? No! Avon had it right. “Spare us the eulogy. He was a Federation thug.”

Angry Jarvik IS a ridiculous character – typical Ben Steed!

Jarvik belongs in a 50's sci fi B movie. You know the type, swaggering captain, planet full of beautiful damsels who don't understand love, someone probably has a pet monkey, there will be a comic relief sergeant from Brooklyn...

I like Jarvik.

There's some really good Ben Steed characters - Jarvik, Doran, Gunn Sar, etc...

Travisina
I like Jarvik, too. I don't think he should have been a semi-regular, but I wouldn't have minded seeing him again. It's a shame he was killed off.

BTW I also like Gunn-Sar, but Doran creeps me out.

Paula and I have watched a LOT of those movies.

That was his job, and Davyd Harries nailed it.

I think Carnell would have been a really good permanent villain.

Not sure about permanent, but I'd have loved to have seen him in some more episodes.

Likewise, which would have made him an excellent permanent character.

It would have made Blake's 7 a REAL dirty dozen(ish) in space.

Should Doran have become a regular character? That's a new and interesting question! Happy
Reversing the polarity of the neutron flow. I bet that means something. It sounds great.

I can't see that working. Avon would feed him to the room to claim immortality within a week. Or Doran and Soolin would dispose of Avon in a similar manner. Two egos that size could never have lived together.

Tarrant survived okay though, until the last episode anyway...

I think you might be confusing Doran with Dorian? Grin
